We have to go all the way back to Week 3 to find the only meeting between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (13-4) and the Rams (12-5) this season, but Tom Brady and Tampa Bay will be looking for Divisional Round revenge after a 34-24 loss to Los Angeles earlier this season.
A lot has changed since Week 3 as the Buccaneers won seven of their last eight games and locked up the NFC’s second seed, while the Rams only won five of their last eight games and slipped to the NFC’s third seed — forcing them to travel to Tampa Bay for this matchup.
Both teams are dealing with major injuries from earlier in the season as Tampa Bay will be without Chris Godwin and Los Angeles will be without Robert Woods, but Los Angeles was able to make a late-season addition in Odell Beckham Jr. to at least somewhat make up for the loss.
Along with the Bills-Chiefs game, this matchup promises to be one of the more intriguing matchups of the Divisional Round, so let’s dig in and see what kind of value we can find here.

While the Rams won the Week 3 matchup between these two teams, that was eons ago in NFL time, and they’ll have to head Tampa Bay, where the Bucs are 8-1 this season — including last weekend’s dismantling of the Eagles.
The Rams are coming off a strong performance on Monday night against the Arizona Cardinals. They won easily 34-11. behind Matthew Stafford‘s 13-for-17, 202 passing-yard, two-touchdown performance.
The Buccaneers have their work cut out for them as they continue to deal with the loss of Godwin, but they still have Mike Evans, Rob Gronkowski, a likely-healthy Leonard Fournette, and of course, Tom Brady.
While Stafford has plenty of weapons at his disposal with Beckham, newly-healthy Cam Akers, Sony Michel, and MVP-candidate Cooper Kupp, he’ll have to take on an improved Bucs defense.
I don’t really want to touch the spread on this game as I don’t want to twist myself into pretzels there, but I think we have to defer to playoff Tom Brady at home here for the sake of our NFL bet of the day.

The Bucs were the second-highest scoring team this season at 30.1 points per game, while the Rams were tied for seventh at 27.1.
On the defensive side of the ball, the Bucs were fifth-best in the league, allowing 20.8 points per game, while the Rams finished 15th at 21.9 points allowed per game.

Needless to say, both offenses can score. The Bucs have scored at least 28 points in each of their last four games, and the Rams have scored at least 20 points in their last eight games.
Those aforementioned averages above don’t quite get us to 49, but they’re darned close. And they’re just averages. We’re really only looking for something like a 30-20 game here (or some variation of that score), and that’s eminently doable by two quarterbacks who combined for over 10,000 (!) passing yards this season.
