NFL Divisional Round Predictions: Best Spread, Total, and Underdog Bets

Last Updated: 6 hours ago

After going 2-2 with my picks to start the playoffs, it is time to shift my focus to the Divisional Round.

With the league’s top seeds back in action, this tends to be one of the most compelling weeks on the NFL calendar.

What can bettors expect? Without further ado, here are my NFL Divisional Round picks.

All NFL odds used for these NFL Divisional Round best bets are current as of Thursday, Jan. 15, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Best NFL Divisional Round Bets

Best Spread Bet: 49ers +7 (-102) @ Seahawks

These teams split a pair of meetings in the regular season, with the 49ers winning 17-13 in Week 1 and the Seahawks returning the favor 13-3 in Week 18 to lock up the conference’s No. 1 seed.

Seattle is 5-0 outright and 3-1-1 against the spread when favored by seven or more points in the postseason.

On top of that, San Francisco is awfully banged up. Still, it’s a division rivalry, so I think this one stays within a touchdown regardless of injuries.

I’m taking the 49ers and the points for my NFL pick of the day.

Best Over/Under Bet: Texans @ Patriots: Under 40.5 Points (-105)

Defense travels in the playoffs, and these are two of the NFL’s best.

That was on display in the Wild Card round, as the Patriots crushed the Chargers, while the Texans were equally dominant against the Steelers.

New England gets the edge at home with Drake Maye playing like an MVP candidate, but look for this to be a defense-oriented game.

Best Moneyline Bet: Bills (-105) @ Broncos

The Broncos have been walking a tightrope all season, but keep coming up unscathed.

The AFC’s No. 1 seed tied an NFL record with 11 one-score victories, six of which came by a field goal or less.

With home-field advantage and the league’s second-ranked defense, Denver has plenty working in its favor.

However, with Josh Allen on the other side of the ball, it won’t matter. The Broncos’ season ends here.

Best Underdog Bet: Bears (+164) vs Rams

Having already picked the Bills in my NFL Divisional Round predictions, I’m turning my attention to the final game of the weekend.

The Rams have looked like a juggernaut for much of the season. However, they appeared vulnerable against the Panthers, needing some fourth-quarter magic from Matthew Stafford to survive.

The Bears also barely escaped their Wild Card matchup, but with the potential for record-low temperatures in Chicago, they may prove to be unwelcoming hosts.
