The NBA Cup Quarterfinals have arrived, and on Wednesday, Dec. 10, both Western Conference games, including Phoenix Suns vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, will be decided.
The Thunder landed in this spot after going 4-0 in Group A, while the Suns finished 3-1 in the same group, earning a wild-card slot.
Below, I’ll cast my NBA Cup predictions for this game, including picks for the spread, total, and a prop bet.
Suns vs Thunder Predictions
All NBA odds used for these Suns vs Thunder best bets are current as of Tuesday, Dec. 9, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Thunder -14.5 (-110) vs Suns
While the Thunder haven’t been covering much this season (13-11 against the spread as a favorite and 6-5 at home), I think they get it done here as my top NBA pick of the day.
OKC has been excellent lately, shooting 65.3% on 2-point shots and 46.2% on 3-point shots over its last three games.
Plus, Phoenix will be without Jalen Green (hamstring) and could also continue to miss star shooting guard Devin Booker (groin), who has sat out the team’s last two games and averages 25 points and 6.7 assists per contest.
Under 227.5 Total Points (-110)
While the Thunder have been playing well, I question if the Suns can hold up their end of the bargain to push this total over.
Phoenix is shooting just 31% on 3-point shots over its last three games. Now, it has to take on an OKC defense that’s allowing 106.9 points per game, the fewest in the NBA.
I expect the Thunder to get a big lead, take the foot off the gas somewhat, and for this total to fall just short of going over.

Jalen Williams: 19+ Points (-123)
It’s time for Suns vs Thunder prop bets, and I’m going with Jalen Williams.
Williams averages 13 2-point tries per game, which ranks second on the Thunder. He’s shooting 49.2% on such shots and is averaging more than 17 points per game.
The Suns are allowing their opponents to shoot 62.3% from inside the arc over their last three games, the second-highest rate in the NBA during that stretch.
While Williams has only played five games this season, he has scored 19 points or more in two of his last three outings and should add to that in a favorable matchup.
