With season-long fantasy football leagues wrapping up last week, it gives you another reason to play NFL Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) this week. If you’re looking for a way to combine the fun of betting and fantasy football, ThriveFantasy may be the perfect site for you.
Unlike the typical salary cap lineup construction format that most DFS sites follow, ThriveFantasy has users pick over or under specific stat categories for players. Picking the more unlikely option rewards the user more points. You are competing with other users who have entered the contest to earn the most points. The user with the most points wins the most money.
There are other game formats on ThriveFantasy, including a touchdown-only contest, which is self-explanatory. For the sake of this article, we will be giving picks for the typical game format.
Now that you understand how ThriveFantasy works, let’s get into the DFS football predictions series for Week 18!
Prop stats information for NFL DFS Week 18 picks are current as of Friday, January 7, at 11:30 a.m. ET.
NFL DFS Week 18: ThriveFantasy Daily Fantasy Sports
Carson Wentz, QB, Indianapolis Colts @ Jacksonville Jaguars
UNDER 0.5 Interceptions
It’s strange to see that Carson Wentz only has six interceptions this season since he plays so wreckless. While he has gotten lucky on some throws, the biggest reason he has been able to protect the ball is that Jonathan Taylor has been so good running the ball.
In a matchup with a Jaguars team that doesn’t pose much of a threat, Wentz likely won’t be throwing the ball much in our fantasy pick of the day.

David Montgomery, RB, Chicago Bears @ Minnesota Vikings
OVER 70.5 Rushing Yards
The Vikings’ run defense has been bad, allowing 4.7 yards per carry, which is tied for third-worst in the NFL. David Montgomery is getting a big workload for the Bears, seeing more than 20 carries in back-to-back weeks.
Assuming Montgomery sees a similar workload to end the season, he should have little issue hitting the over on this struggling Minnesota defense.
Ben Roethlisberger, QB, Pittsburgh Steelers @ Baltimore Ravens
OVER 21.5 Completions
In the final game of his career, Ben Roethlisberger will try to go out on a high note. Look for him to pass a lot, as he faces a Ravens defense that ranks worst in the NFL in passing yards allowed (281.7) and passing yards per attempt allowed (7.8).
Roethlisberger has completed at least 22 passes in three of his past four games. The trend should continue against this poor pass defense.
Nick Chubb, RB, Cleveland Browns vs Cincinnati Bengals
OVER 0.5 Rushing TDs
The Bengals will be resting many players in this game, as they have very little to play for. The Browns are coming off a game in which they were criticized for not giving the ball to Nick Chubb more.
In a game they should win, due to Cincinnati sitting players, Chubb will have a positive game script to see plenty of touches. He should get his number called often (if he’s available to play) when they are in the red zone. Chubb has nine total touchdowns this season, and it would be nice for him to finish with double-digits.
