Arsenal vs Manchester United Prediction: Gunners Favored at the Emirates

Last Updated: Jan 23, 2026

Premier League table-toppers Arsenal will welcome Manchester United to the Emirates Stadium on Sunday, Jan. 25, in the most highly anticipated fixture of the weekend.

The Gunners enter this match seven points clear of Aston Villa and Manchester City in the title race, and 15 points ahead of a Manchester United side that sits in fifth position.

However, Mikel Arteta’s men will be wary of the threat Michael Carrick’s Man United poses after the caretaker manager inspired his team to a 2-0 victory over Man City in the Manchester Derby last weekend.

Ahead of Sunday’s match, let’s dig into the latest odds and check out my Arsenal vs Manchester United prediction.

Arsenal vs Manchester United Odds

All soccer odds used for these Arsenal vs Manchester United best bets are current as of Friday, Jan. 23, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Match Result: Arsenal (-180) / Draw (+320) / Manchester United (+500)
  • Total Goals: Over 2.5 (-145) / Under 2.5 (+115)
  • Both Teams to Score: Yes (-135) / No (+105)

It’s no surprise that Arsenal is favored at the Emirates, where it has yet to lose in 11 Premier League fixtures this season (9-2-0).

Meanwhile, Manchester United’s form away from Old Trafford has been hit-and-miss. The Red Devils have collected 14 points from 11 matches (3-5-3) and have been outscored 19-18.

Arsenal vs Manchester United Prediction

Score Prediction: Arsenal 2, Manchester United 1

Manchester United has been a difficult team to predict all season, as the Red Devils tended to play up and down to their competition under former manager Ruben Amorim.

Will the new manager bounce under Carrick last long enough to get another impressive result against Arsenal? It’s certainly possible.

United was good value for its win over City, creating 2.27 expected goals to City’s 0.45 despite ceding 68% possession to Pep Guardiola’s side. The visitors will likely adopt a similar plan against Arsenal, looking to exploit the Gunners on the counter.

While Arsenal occasionally leaves some gaps by pushing their full-backs up the pitch, Mikel Arteta’s squad is much more solid defensively than this current Man City side.

Plus, the Gunners may finally have some confidence going forward after strikers Gabriel Jesus and Viktor Gyokeres found the back of the net on Tuesday’s 3-1 Champions League win at Inter Milan.

That could make a world of difference for an Arsenal team that hasn’t always been clinical this season, so I’m taking the hosts to pick up an important three points.

Arsenal vs Manchester United Best Bets

Both Teams to Score: Yes (-135)

The reverse fixture at Old Trafford finished 1-0 to Arsenal on the opening weekend of the Premier League season. However, that result flattered the visitors, as Manchester United created more expected goals (1.52 to 1.31) and held a 22-9 shot advantage.

Arsenal’s defensive record has also dipped slightly since the superb start to the season. Mikel Arteta’s squad has conceded in four of its previous five home games across all competitions.

The Gunners have also been the busier of the two teams, playing four consecutive away matches since Jan. 11. In contrast, United has played two home games since that date.

While Arsenal kept a clean sheet in a 2-0 win in this fixture last season, United has scored in four of its previous five trips to the Emirates across all competitions. I’m backing both teams to score with my soccer bet of the day.

Arsenal Win & Over 2.5 Total Goals (+115)

Instead of betting Arsenal to win at -180, I’d be more interested in taking a chance on this plus-money wager.

Before that 2-0 victory at the Emirates last season, Arsenal’s previous three home league meetings with Man United had finished 3-1, 3-2, and 3-1 to the Gunners.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a similar scoreline on Sunday. Consider this wager with our best sports betting promotions.
