Monday was an interesting day for NHL goalscorer predictions. Two of the eight teams in action failed to score, but there was also a pair of hat tricks in the high-scoring Ducks-Oilers game.
Tuesday’s 10-game slate offers plenty of intriguing matchups to target.
Let’s dig into my best NHL goalscorer bets today.
NHL Goalscorer Predictions Today
All hockey odds used for these NHL goalscorer predictions today are current as of Tuesday, Jan. 27, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Matt Boldy: Anytime Goalscorer (+150) vs Blackhawks
After missing four games with a lower-body injury, Boldy returned to the lineup on Saturday and registered a goal and an assist in a 4-3 overtime loss to Florida.
The goal was the 28th of the season for the 24-year-old, who shares the Minnesota Wild team lead with Kirill Kaprizov.
Boldy has been a streaky scorer at times this season. He has found the back of the net in consecutive games on five separate occasions, and three of those goal streaks lasted at least three games.
Tonight, the Wild will host a Chicago Blackhawks team that allows 3.35 goals per game on the road, so I’m backing Boldy to continue his scoring streak as my NHL pick of the day.
David Pastrnak: First Goalscorer (+1000) vs Predators
NHL first goalscorer stats point toward the Boston Bruins taking the lead against the Nashville Predators tonight at TD Garden.
Boston has scored first in 15 of 28 home games this season (53.6%), while the Predators have taken the lead in an NHL-low 6 of 23 road contests (26.1%).
Pastrnak, who recorded three assists against the Rangers on Monday, is due for some positive goal regression, as he leads the Bruins in shots by a wide margin (168) but ranks second on the team in goals (21).
He has scored the first goal of a game three times this season, and I like his chances to strike early against a Predators team that allows 3.65 goals per game on its travels.

William Eklund: Anytime Goalscorer (+235) @ Canucks
For my other NHL anytime goalscorer prop, I’m looking further down the board to San Jose’s William Eklund.
The 2021 first-round pick ranks second on the Sharks in shots (118) but is fifth in goals (11). Eklund’s shooting percentage of 9.3% is below his mark from his first two NHL seasons (12.5% and 11.3%), so I’m expecting him to experience some positive regression over the back half of the campaign.

The 23-year-old has failed to score in his previous seven games, but I love his matchup against the Vancouver Canucks tonight.
Vancouver has lost 13 of its last 14 outings and allowed at least four goals in 10 of those defeats. Eklund has scored in each of the Sharks’ two games against the Canucks this season, making him a solid target at +235 odds.
