- Implied Score: Texans 19.25, Dolphins 26.25
This sure is a matchup of the greats, isn’t it?
The Houston Texans (1-7) will take on the Miami Dolphins (1-7) in what is undoubtedly the lowlight of the early slate of this week’s games. Both teams have looked equally pitiful through eight weeks of NFL action, with each accumulating just one win — both of which came back in Week 1.
I like the Texans +7 here for one reason only — the Dolphins are nowhere near good enough to be laying this many points to any team right now. They may be the better team overall and a bit better than their record suggests (though not by much), but I don’t expect either team to make this one look easy.
Atlanta Falcons at New Orleans Saints (1:00 p.m. ET, Caesars)

- Over/Under Points Total: Over 50.5 (-110), Under 50.5 (-110)
- Implied Score: Chargers 26.5, Eagles 24
Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs (4:25 p.m. ET, Caesars)
- Moneyline: Packers (+125), Chiefs (-145)
- Spread: Packers +3 (-120), Chiefs -3 (+100)
- Over/Under Points Total: Over 55.5 (-110), Under 55.5 (-110)
- Implied Score: Packers 26.25, Chiefs 29.25
I’m a bit surprised to see the Packers as an underdog here.
Green Bay has looked as dominant as ever since their Week 1 loss to the New Orleans Saints, rattling off seven consecutive wins and knocking off the previously undefeated Arizona Cardinals in Week 8. Aaron Rodgers is playing some of the best football of his career and has his Packers rolling.
Kansas City, on the other hand, has been an absolute dumpster fire. They entered their Week 8 showdown with the New York Giants with a -25 point differential, which is almost unheard of in the Patrick Mahomes-Andy Reid era.
Continue picking against the Chiefs and make this your NFL bet of the day until they defeat a competent team and start building some momentum.
Arizona Cardinals at San Francisco 49ers (4:25 p.m. ET, Caesars)
- Moneyline: TBA
- Spread: Cardinals -2.5 (-110), 49ers +2.5 (-110)
- Over/Under Points Total: Over 47 (-110), Under 47 (-110)

Tennessee Titans at Los Angeles Rams (Sunday Night Football, 8:20 p.m. ET, Caesars)
- Moneyline: Titans (+230), Rams (-280)
- Spread: Titans +6 (-110), Rams -6 (-110)
- Over/Under Points Total: Over 54 (-110), Under 54 (-110)
- Implied Score: Titans 24, Rams 30
Chicago Bears at Pittsburgh Steelers (Monday Night Football, 8:15 p.m. ET, Caesars)
- Moneyline: Bears (+235), Steelers (-290)
- Spread: Bears +6.5 (-110), Steelers -6.5 (-110)
- Over/Under Points Total: Over 40 (-110), Under 40 (-110)
- Implied Score: Bears 16.75, Steelers 23.25
While the Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals have been vying for the top spot in the AFC North, the Pittsburgh Steelers have quietly been rising from the depths of the division. After getting off to a 1-3 start, the Steelers have won three in a row to put them over .500 for the first time since Week 1.
Najee Harris has looked the part of a do-it-all back, logging 120+ yards from scrimmage in all three wins. And while Chicago has been solid against the pass, they’ve struggled to stop the rush all season.
Expect the Bears to struggle against Pittsburgh’s stellar defense and for the Steelers to win comfortably at home in primetime.
