ALCS & NLCS Props: Best Baseball Props Today 10/20/21
Julio Urias: Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-130) at BetMGM
The Los Angeles Dodgers will be looking to get some length out of Julio Urias in Game 4 of the NLCS after taxing their bullpen in Game 3’s comeback victory over the Atlanta Braves. Urias is a legitimate Cy Young candidate this season after leading the majors with 20 wins to go along with a 2.96 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and 195 strikeouts in 185 2/3 innings.
Urias also has an excellent track record in October, going 7-2 with a 2.96 ERA and 0.88 WHIP over 48 2/3 postseason innings. That’s exactly the kind of playoff pedigree you want on the mound in a critical game such as this one.
The talented southpaw also struck out over a batter per inning this year and will face a Braves lineup that had the ninth-highest strikeout rate in baseball at 24%. Even if he only goes four or five innings, Urias should still be able to hit the Over with ease and cash our MLB bet of the day.

Austin Riley: Over 0.5 Singles (+130) at BetMGM
Austin Riley was one of MLB’s breakout stars this year, batting .303/.367/.531 with 33 home runs and 107 RBIs in his third season.
Atlanta’s third baseman has maintained that level of production in the postseason, slashing .346/.414/.654 with four extra-base hits. He’s also hit safely in all seven postseason games thus far with five of his nine hits going for singles, making him an excellent choice to notch another one tonight.
Chris Sale: Under 3.5 Strikeouts (+115) at BetMGM
Chris Sale is not the same Cy Young-caliber pitcher we’ve seen in the past. He’s looked like a totally different pitcher in the postseason and I’m not expecting him to last long against the Houston Astros’ mighty offense. In addition to leading MLB in wRC+ against lefties (117), Houston also had the lowest strikeout rate in baseball (19.4%).
None of that bodes well for Sale, who has just four strikeouts combined in his two postseason outings this year. He lasted just 2 2/3 innings against the Astros in Game 1 and hasn’t gone more than three innings since September 28. Alex Cora has had a quick hook with him and will likely yank him early if Houston starts smashing the ball around Fenway Park.
Based on Sale’s recent struggles, it’s hard to envision him notching four punchouts against this lineup. Take the Under.
