It’s time for the Sweet 16 of March Madness, so we’ve got a fair share of intriguing matchups. With eight matchups on the slate, we still have several options to choose from in our parlay building.

In this article, you’ll find a best bet, longshot, and Same Game Parlay. These wagers may feature a variety of bet types, including moneylines, Over/Unders, point spreads, and more.

With that in mind, let’s dive into my favorite ticket builds of March Madness parlays for the Sweet 16 this weekend.

NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 Top Parlay (+104) DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

  • Alabama Moneyline (-340) vs San Diego State
  • Houston Moneyline (-315) vs Miami
  • Creighton Moneyline (-500) vs Princeton

Alabama has been the most impressive team in the tournament so far, cruising to a pair of blowout wins in the first two rounds. The Crimson Tide have won each of their games by more than 20 points.

They take on San Diego State, who is a strong defensive team, ranking fifth per KenPom. However, the Aztecs don’t have enough firepower on offense (70th) to keep pace with Alabama (18th).

Houston got back on track in the second round with a 17-point win over Auburn, following a scare in the first round vs Northern Kentucky. It was encouraging to see star guard Marcus Sasser drop 22 points after being questionable with a groin injury.

The Cougars take on a Miami team that is excellent on offense (11th), but has trouble slowing down its opponents, ranking 108th on defense. That’s bad news for the Hurricanes because Houston has the ninth-ranked defense in the nation.

Creighton was able to get past Baylor in the Round of 32, led by sophomore guard Ryan Nembhard, who scored 30 points on 8-of-13 shooting. They’re now set to take on the Cinderella team of the tournament in Princeton.

The Blue Jays are heavy favorites in this one, which is no surprise considering they rank 12th overall, while Princeton is 91st, per KenPom. Look for Creighton to secure the win here to complete this CBB bet of the day.

March Madness Sweet 16 Longshot Parlay

NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 Longshot Parlay (+220) DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 0.5 Units

  • Kansas State Moneyline (+110) vs Michigan State
  • Texas Moneyline (-190) vs Xavier

Kansas State takes on Michigan State in what may be the closest game of the Sweet 16. The Wildcats are two-point underdogs to the Spartans here. I’m rolling with the higher-ranked team per KenPom in Kansas State (21st) over Michigan State (25th).

The Wildcats are getting terrific guard play, namely from Markquis Nowell, who scored 27 points in the win over Kentucky and dropped 14 assists in the first-round victory against Montana State. I’m confident that this will continue, even against a tough Spartans’ defense.

Texas currently ranks fifth on KenPom, making them the clear favorite over Xavier (15th). The main edge here lies with the Longhorns’ offense (15th) against the Musketeers’ defense (63rd).

To make matters worse for Xavier, Texas is also good on defense (10th), making them one of the most balanced teams in the tournament. Look for the Longhorns to prevail, but we’ll take them on the moneyline to be safe.

March Madness Sweet 16 Same Game Parlay

Tennessee vs Florida Atlantic SGP (+170) DraftKings Sportsbook

WAGER: 1 Unit

  • Tennessee Moneyline (-240)
  • Under 131.5 Total Points (-110)

Tennessee is well-equipped to continue their run throughout the tournament because of an elite defense that comes in first on Pomeroy’s Rankings. This is a battle-tested team that is coming off an impressive win against Duke in a game where they were underdogs.

Now, the Volunteers get set to take on one of the surprise teams of the tournament in Florida Atlantic. The Owls upset Memphis and took care of Fairleigh Dickinson to get to the Sweet 16.

However, I think they’re overmatched against Tennessee. Florida Atlantic’s offense currently ranks 30th, per KenPom. I don’t believe that they’ll have enough to overcome the best defense in the nation.

We’ll play it safe with Tennessee on the moneyline instead of point spread. The Under also looks good given how the Vols have been able to shut down opposing offenses.
