Contrasting styles will be on display when No. 4 Tennessee squares off against No. 9-seeded Florida Atlantic in the East region on Thursday at Madison Square Garden.
The Volunteers are defensive-minded while the Owls score almost 80 points per game. If you’re unsure which style will dictate the pace, you can decide to place prop wagers, or bets that aren’t reliant on the final score.
Here’s a look at a few props to consider for Tennessee vs Florida Atlantic.

Tennessee vs Florida Atlantic Game Props
Winning Margin: Tennessee By 6-Plus Points (-125) • DraftKings Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
There is a bit of a discrepancy to navigate here since the spread line, UT -5.5, has -115 odds or a 53-percent chance of hitting, and this prop features -125 odds, or a 56-percent implied probability.
That fact lends itself to a UT -5.5 wager, given the odds. But with free throws and the Volunteers’ dominant defense, this is the game prop to target as my CBB pick of the day.
Tennessee vs Florida Atlantic Team Props
Florida Atlantic Under 62.5 Points (-110) • DraftKings Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
The Volunteers are 22-0 when allowing 60 points or fewer but 3-10 in games where they give up 60-plus. Tennessee has not allowed 60-plus points in its past seven wins, including its first two tournament games.
FAU uses its offense to win but also has a stout defense, allowing just 65 points per game. This game should be won in the 60s, and if you believe, as I do, the Volunteers are superior to the Owls, FAU probably won’t reach 60, let alone 63 points, Thursday.

Tennessee vs FAU Player Props
Santiago Véscovi Over 20.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists (-125) • DraftKings Sportsbook
Wager: 1 Unit
Véscovi averaged 20.4 combined points, rebounds, and assists and produced 24 points, boards, and helpers in UT’s victory over Duke on Saturday.
The Volunteers forward has produced 21-plus points, rebounds, and boards in nine of their past 11 games and has seven games with at least nine combined rebounds and assists in that span.
It may be a low-scoring, grind-it-out game, but it seems Véscovi is capable of producing stats in any way to help his team win.
Alijah Martin Under 13.5 Points (-130) • DraftKings Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 unit
The Owls likely won’t score very much, and Martin and backcourt-mate Johnell Davis are their top two scorers. Davis is coming off a huge performance in FAU’s win over Fairleigh Dickinson and likely will be looking to take over again.
Martin averaged 13.1 points per game and has been held to 10 points or less in four of FAU’s past seven games. If you think Davis will be the one held down, take the Under of his points prop (13.5 at -105), but UT’s defense will likely hold at least one Under the number.
