WinView Games Hands-on Review

WinView Games was founded back in 2008 in the Silicon Valley (San Francisco, CA). While WinView is privately-held, they are affiliated with the publicly traded Engine Gaming and Media Inc.

Although WinView has been around for quite some time, they are currently just picking up steam now that the platform offers paid contests in which users can win real money. WinView is not partnered with any sports professional organization but in 2018, the platform did ink NBA star Blake Griffin for a series of YouTube advertisements.

Now, WinView Games is fully operational in all 50 states to play for free. However, WinView is only functional in 39 states if you want to play for and win real cash prizes. You can find out which states are good to go to win money later in this review.

While WinView Games is not considered a sportsbook, it isn’t viewed as a DFS platform either. However, it does have its similarities to Daily Fantasy Sports in terms of types of contests and formats.

WinView offers two different types of game modes – Pregame Predict and Watch and Predict. They are both prop-based contests where you answer a series of yes or no questions with a points scoring system attached. To win, you must score the most points by getting your predictions correct. It is that simple.

Is WinView Games Prop Betting Legit?

Yes. WinView Games is legit. WinView’s parent company is Engine Gaming and Media Inc., which is made its mark in the esports industry and is a public traded corporation.

• Now that you are at WinView, the sign-up procedure is the same whether you are using the desktop or the app.
• If you choose the “Play with Email, option, it will take you to the registration screen.
• From there, you must click the “create new account” button.
• On the first page, you will need to input your name, email address, and password.

My WinView Games App Experience

The WinView Games app is available for both iOS and Android users.

I prefer the WinView app to their website. The website lags a bit. However, the website and app are exactly the same when it comes to usability. On the website, you will see a condensed form of the app. Navigation is the same.

Once you sign up and sign in to the WinView Games app, you will land on the home screen.

At the top left-hand side, you will find your profile avatar and a small number next to it. The small number will indicate your player level. You will level up the more you play and win. The player level indicates to other users your skill level so they will know exactly how good or bad their opponents will be in a given contest.

If you click on the profile picture, you will be redirected to your profile page. Here, you will find your contest history, any tickets you have or may not have used, your friends list, skill level, and your team affiliations (favorite teams and/ or favorite teams to predict).

At the top right-hand side of any score, you will find your account balance. You can also deposit additional funds into your account by using the “DEPOSIT” button.

This will take you back to the home screen where you will find upcoming and featured contests. You can filter these to your liking by hitting the “FILTER” button.

Essentially, this is your friends list. You can create private contests with your friends here.

When you hit the “MENU” button, you will find all of your account settings and options. You can also deposit withdraw funds here. In addition, you will find your transaction history as well as customer support, terms and conditions, open promotions, FAQs, rules, and a how-to-play guide.

I prefer the app to the website. However, when it comes to navigation and aesthetics, they are the same.

Should You Bet at WinView Games?

If you are looking for a new way to win money while watching sports, then give WinView Games a try. While WinView is similar to DFS and sports betting, the platform brings its own twist due to its prop prediction of yes or no questions with a points system attached.

Bet Types

Pregame Predict

• You will make your predictions before the start of a game
• Most predictions are yes or no answers that have points multipliers attached according to the difficulty level and /or the probability of the question being right or wrong.
• There is something called a “ONE-SHOT” prediction that is available once per contest.

• If you get a One-Shot prediction wrong, you will not lose any points.

• You get 15,000 points to spend on your predictions. You can choose the number of points you want to stake.

• Pregame Predict will not exceed 10 props.
• There will be an expected 8-24 props per contest.
• At the end of each contest, the top-scoring players in each room will be awarded prizes.

Watch and Predict

• Watch and Predict is similar to Pregame Predict. The difference is that most of the props will be live. However, you will have to answer a few pregame props beforehand per contest rules.

Types of Entries

• Beginner: You can only enter Beginner labeled contests for your first 20 entries. You should have the hang of WinView by then.

• Free Rolls: Gain entry to freerolls with tickets earned by winning other free contests. Ticket-based tournaments will pay out additional tickers. They will also help drive you up the global leaderboard where you can earn cash prizes.

• Ticket-only Free-Rolls: These are 100% free to enter. You can win entry tickets as prizes which you can use to enter other contests.

• Classic: These are tournaments that pay out the top players. Payouts and Prizes will be determined by the number of players that enter.

• Multiplier: Earn 2X-5X your entry fee in prizes

• 50/50: Earn 2X your entry fee in prizes

Rewards System

Some sportsbooks and DFS sites will have rewards systems where the more you play, the more you are rewarded. For instance, a site may have a 10 points for every $1 wagered, and in turn, those points can be traded in for bonus money or free play.
