Read Nate Hamilton’s Week 5 DraftKings Picks for DFS.
The key to building a tournament-winning DraftKings DFS lineup is to find value pricing on players who are set up to succeed each week.
The purpose of this article is to help you define which players you should be adding to your DFS lineups on the cheap, which will allow you to fill your remaining lineup with some elite chalk options.

Each week, I will give you a discount player at each position (QB, RB, WR, TE, DST) to help you build your winning lineup.
Now, let’s jump into my DraftKings DFS value picks for Week 5!
Week 5 DraftKings Picks
Quarterback
Teddy Bridgewater, Carolina Panthers ($5,900) @ Atlanta Falcons
Teddy Bridgewater is coming off his best game of the season. He completed 26 passes for 276 yards and 2 touchdowns. He also ran six times for 32 yards and added another touchdown on the ground. Bridgewater will look to keep things rolling in Week 5.
This week, he draws a favorable matchup against the Atlanta Falcons defense. It’s a perfect time for Bridgewater to top his season-best performance against a defense who ranks bottom-three against the pass. You’ll want to stack one of his offensive weapons to double down on his production.
Don’t worry, keep reading. I have you covered.
Running Back
Todd Gurley, Atlanta Falcons ($5,700) vs Carolina Panthers
Todd Gurley has produced double-digit fantasy points and scored a touchdown in 3 of the first 4 weeks. Even last week, when the Falcons’ offense struggled, Gurley rushed for over 50 yards and scored Atlanta’s only two touchdowns of the game.
Luckily, “TD Todd Gurley" finds himself against a Panthers defense that has given up the most rushing touchdowns to running backs this season. This game has fantasy football production all over it. Todd Gurley is a must-start in DFS this week.
Wide Receiver
Robby Anderson, Carolina Panthers ($5,900) @ Atlanta Falcons
As I preached in last week’s DFS article, you want to try and stack players with your quarterback whenever possible. For Week 5, Robby Anderson is the perfect stack with Teddy Bridgewater.

Anderson is currently a WR1 in fantasy and is just 1 yard shy of having three 100-yard games on the season after recording 99 receiving yards last week. He already has 28 receptions, which is 4th best in the league.
Getting Anderson for $5,900 against a struggling defense dealing with injuries is a crime. Take advantage of this one.
Tight End
Mo Alie-Cox, Indianapolis Colts ($4,200) @ Cleveland Browns
The tight end position is one of the toughest to predict for fantasy purposes. It is best to find favorable matchups and hope that matchup produces a touchdown. At the end of the day, if you want a deal at TE in DFS, you need a touchdown to hit.
This week, Mo Alie-Cox makes a great candidate to score a touchdown in what would be the 3rd week in a row. The Cleveland Browns rank dead-last against tight ends this season.
Defense/Special Teams
Philadelphia Eagles ($2,800) @ Pittsburgh Steelers
Most weeks you’ll want to save money on defenses. Last week, I recommended you start the most expensive defense (Baltimore Ravens). This week, let’s try getting a discount on D/ST.
The Eagles have given up plenty of points to opposing offenses. However, the D/ST has scored a combined 26 fantasy points in the past two weeks. Philly’s defensive line creates plenty of pressure and already has rattled off 17 sacks on the season.
The Eagles may not have the best matchup, but they can still get you decent points on the defensive side in Week 5 against the Steelers, who are coming off their unexpected bye week. Saving money at defense/ special teams will allow you to beef up your DFS lineup at the skill positions.
