Week 8 of the 2025-26 NFL season kicks off with the Los Angeles Chargers hosting the Minnesota Vikings.
The Vikings are 3-3 this season, whereas the Chargers are 4-3. Both teams are coming off home losses: the Vikings lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Chargers lost to the Colts.
Below, I’ll provide the three best Thursday Night Football prop bets for this matchup and more.
Best Thursday Night Football Prop Bets for Vikings vs Chargers
All NFL odds used for these player props bets are current as of Thursday, Oct. 23, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Carson Wentz: 1+ Interceptions (-138)
Kicking off my TNF best bets, I’m turning to the Vikings signal-caller.
Heading into this game, Wentz, who’s had four starts, has thrown four interceptions over his last three games. All four interceptions came in games the Vikings lost, and now, they’re 3.5-point road underdogs.
Additionally, under pressure this season, Wentz is completing just 56.4% of his passes for 312 yards and has two interceptions. He’s also had five turnover-worthy plays, indicating he could’ve thrown even more interceptions but had some good luck.
The Chargers average 0.86 interceptions per game, making this my NFL pick of the day.
Ladd McConkey: 5+ Receptions (-162)
McConkey’s Over/Under line in this game was 5.5, but I’ve opted to go for the alternate TNF prop bets line of 5+ receptions to be a bit safer.
Over the last three weeks, McConkey is tied for the team lead in team target share at 24.5% with veteran Keenan Allen. In that span, he’s caught 18 passes on 26 targets for 186 yards and a score. He’s also caught five passes or more in all of these games.
McConkey, in that same span, has also run a route on 87.2% of quarterback Justin Herbert’s dropbacks, so he is consistently on the field and attempting to make plays.
Coming out of the slot, he’ll face Vikings cornerback Josh Metellus, who’s allowed a reception rate of over 69% to date.
Jordan Mason: Anytime TD (+105)
Since fellow running back Aaron Jones got injured and hasn’t been on the field, Mason has received over 71% of the Vikings’ running back carries. He’s averaging 16.5 touches per game from Weeks 3 to 7, too.
Now, in a game where Wentz is a liability, Mason is the shining light as the Chargers allow 5.14 yards per carry (fifth-highest) and 1.14 rushing touchdowns per game (tied for fourth-highest) to opposing running backs.
Of my Thursday Night Football prop bets, I surprisingly feel most confident in this one despite the plus-money odds.
My Three-Leg TNF Parlay for Vikings vs Chargers in Week 8 (+475)
Using my three best bets for Thursday Night Football above, you’ll have a 3-leg same-game parlay of +475.
With these odds, you’d win $47.50 on a $10 wager.
