NHL Frozen Frenzy 2025: 5 Best Bets for Tuesday’s 16-Game Slate

Last Updated: a day ago

The NHL Frozen Frenzy returns on Tuesday night, as the league’s 32 teams will take the ice across North America.

If you’re new to the NHL Frozen Frenzy, think of it as NFL RedZone, but for hockey. ESPN’s team of analysts will provide live look-ins and highlights from all the games, making sure you don’t miss a moment of the action.

There’s no better way to celebrate this night full of hockey than putting in a few wagers, so let’s dive into my 2025 Frozen Frenzy best bets.

NHL Frozen Frenzy 2025: 5 Best Bets for Tuesday, Oct. 28

All NHL odds used for these Frozen Frenzy betting picks are current as of Tuesday, Oct. 28, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Philadelphia Flyers -1.5 (+154) vs Pittsburgh Penguins

To drop the puck on my 2025 Frozen Frenzy bets, I’ll back the Philadelphia Flyers to win by multiple goals at home against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Penguins have been one of the league’s most surprising teams to this point of the season, but they’re playing on the second night of a back-to-back with travel.

Philadelphia owns a 4-1-0 record on home ice this season and should have the fresher legs in this contest, which should help it create margin on Tuesday night.

New York Islanders: Over 3.5 Goals (-105) @ Boston Bruins

One of my favorite Frozen Frenzy prop bets tonight has the New York Islanders scoring at least four goals against the Boston Bruins.

Boston has the fourth-worst defensive record in the league this season, allowing 3.82 goals per game, while New York is tied for third in goals scored (3.75 per game).

The Islanders have scored at least four goals in four of their last five games, while the Bruins have shipped four or more in three of four.

Boston is also playing on the second night of a back-to-back after losing 7-2 in Ottawa last night, making this a great spot to back the Over on New York’s team total prop.

Back the Isles to score at least four goals tonight with our best sports betting promotions for 2025.

Detroit Red Wings ML (-110) @ St. Louis Blues

The Detroit Red Wings will face the St. Louis Blues for the second time in four days on Tuesday night.

Detroit defended home ice in the first matchup, rallying from a 4-0 deficit to win 6-4, and I’m adding the Red Wings to my Frozen Frenzy moneyline bets tonight.

St. Louis is playing for the second straight night after losing 6-3 in Pittsburgh on Monday. The Blues have dropped four consecutive games and surrendered six or more goals in each of the last three.

That’s not a winning formula, so I’m backing Detroit to complete the season series sweep against St. Louis.

Alexander Ovechkin: Anytime Goalscorer (+150) @ Dallas Stars

When it comes to Frozen Frenzy player props, I’m targeting Alexander Ovechkin to find the back of the net tonight against the Dallas Stars.

The NHL’s all-time leading scorer is sitting on 899 career goals, and he’ll have a decent chance to become the first player to reach 900 tonight against a Stars defense allowing 3.33 goals per contest.

Ovechkin is off to a relatively slow start to the season, scoring twice in the Capitals’ opening nine games, but I’m backing Washington’s star to get on the scoresheet in Dallas.

New Jersey Devils @ Colorado Avalanche: Over 6.5 Goals (+110)

These two teams just squared off on Sunday in New Jersey, where the Devils prevailed with a 4-3 overtime victory.

I think we’ll see a similarly high-scoring rematch tonight in Colorado.

Through the early part of the season, New Jersey owns the NHL’s top scoring offense (3.89 goals per game). Colorado’s attack (3.30 goals per game) ranks in the top half of the league and has historically thrived on home ice, as visitors struggle to adapt to the altitude.

There should be plenty of goals in this contest, making this my favorite Frozen Frenzy Over/Under bet.
