Thanksgiving is upon us, which means it’s time for more football.

As has become tradition, three games will kick off on Turkey Day, giving NFL fans something to savor away from the dinner table.

NFL Thanksgiving Halftime Show Schedule

All three NFL Thanksgiving games will feature a renowned musical halftime guest.

Musician and Detroit-native Jack White will perform during Packers-Lions; global rapper Post Malone will take the stage during Chiefs-Cowboys, and Grammy Award-winning artist Lil Jon will go live during Bengals-Ravens.

Which NFL Teams Play on Thanksgiving Day Every Year?

The Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys have become as synonymous as turkey and stuffing on Thanksgiving.

The Lions have hosted a game every Thanksgiving since 1934, except during World War II, while the Cowboys joined the NFL Thanksgiving schedule in 1966.

The NFL added a third primetime game in 2006 that features rotating teams.

When Was the First Thanksgiving NFL Game?

The first Thanksgiving NFL game was played on Nov. 29, 1934, and featured the Lions beating the Chicago Bears 19-10 at University of Detroit Stadium.
