NFL Week 16 Best Bets: 3 Spread Picks for Sunday’s Slate

Last Updated: 5 hours ago

We’ve hit the home stretch of the NFL regular season, and several teams’ playoff fates are still undecided.

As such, Week 16 figures to be dramatic.

Before the action unfolds, let’s tackle some of my favorite NFL Week 16 predictions.

NFL Week 16 Best Bets

All NFL odds used for these Week 16 best bets are current as of Thursday, Dec. 18, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Kansas City Chiefs -3 (-115) @ Tennessee Titans

This could be a big emotional letdown spot for the Chiefs (6-8), who were eliminated from the playoffs last week and lost Patrick Mahomes to a season-ending knee injury in the process.

Then again, consider the opponent. The Titans are 2-12 and own the NFL’s worst point differentials (minus-169). Their two wins came by a combined three points.

Gardner Minshew won’t make anyone forget his replacement, but he’s still capable enough to beat one of the league’s doormats.

Tail my NFL pick of the day and take Kansas City -3.

Cincinnati Bengals -4.5 (-105) @ Miami Dolphins

Maybe the Dolphins (6-8) find the offensive spark they were looking for in Quinn Ewers and rally around their new quarterback, at least for one week.

But more likely, it’ll be more of the same for a team whose season is officially beyond saving.

As bad as the Bengals (4-10) looked last week in a 24-0 loss to the Ravens, they still have Joe Burrow. And that beats having Ewers.

For my Week 16 NFL picks, I’m taking Cincinnati to bounce back.

Carolina Panthers +3 (-112) vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

First place in the NFC South is on the line. Neither team has been very consistent, so I’ll side with the one that’s at home.

The Panthers are 3-1 ATS as an underdog at Bank of America Stadium this season. That’s good enough for me.

Look for Carolina to grab the division lead in a small upset.
