Seahawks vs 49ers Predictions: Back Seattle to Win NFC West in Week 18

Last Updated: Jan 1, 2026

The slate of NFL Week 18 games includes a primetime Saturday night showdown between the Seattle Seahawks (13-3) and the San Francisco 49ers (12-4).

The winner of this game will win the NFC West crown and clinch home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs.

The 49ers won a Week 1 matchup between these teams 17-13, but a lot has changed since then.

With this being the biggest game of the weekend, keep reading to get my Seahawks vs 49ers predictions.

Seahawks vs 49ers Odds

All NFL odds used for these Seahawks vs 49ers best bets are current as of Wednesday, Dec. 31, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Moneyline: Seahawks (-120) vs 49ers (+100)
  • Spread: Seahawks -1.5 (-110) vs 49ers +1.5 (-110)
  • Over/Under: Over 49.5 (-108) / Under 49.5 (-112)

Seahawks vs 49ers Predictions

Score Prediction: Seahawks 34, 49ers 24

Both teams have won six in a row, so there is no clear momentum advantage.

The difference between them is that the 49ers have had to win a lot of high-scoring games against teams that aren’t strong defensively.

That figures to be a problem against a Seattle team that is comfortable in shootouts but has also allowed the second-fewest points in the league.

Even with Brock Purdy playing better than Sam Darnold right now, the Seahawks are the more balanced team and will find a way to prevail.

Seahawks vs 49ers Best Bets

Seahawks -1.5 (-110)

In theory, the 49ers have an advantage as the home team, but keep in mind that the Seahawks are 7-1 against the spread on the road. That includes going 5-1 against the spread as a road favorite.

Aside from their epic comeback against the Rams a couple of weeks ago, the Seahawks have been able to slow teams down, holding four of their five last opponents to 16 points or less.

That’s something the San Francisco defense can’t do, which is why I favor Seattle in this game.

I’m backing the Seahawks to cover this short spread on the road as my NFL pick of the day.

Over 49.5 Total Points (-108)

Even though the Seahawks have one of the top defenses in the league, Brock Purdy and the San Francisco offense are executing at such a high level that the 49ers are bound to score points.

They’ve scored at least 37 points in four of their last six games, so they’ll put some points on the board.

However, San Francisco has also allowed at least 24 points in three straight games, so they’ll be vulnerable defensively, leading to a high-scoring affair.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba: Under 101.5 Receiving Yards (-111)

This is a big number to reach, even for the NFL’s leading receiver.

Smith-Njigba has only surpassed 100 yards once in his last five games, so teams are finding a way to slow him down.

While the 49ers have a weak pass defense, after getting burned by Smith-Njigba for 124 yards in Week 1, the San Francisco defense will make him its primary focus, forcing someone else to beat them and holding him under 100 yards.
