Rams vs Seahawks Predictions: Trust Seattle in NFC Championship Game

Last Updated: Jan 21, 2026

The NFC Championship Game is the matchup most people anticipated at the start of the playoffs: the Seattle Seahawks vs. the Los Angeles Rams.

The Rams escaped with a 21-19 win at home in the first matchup between these teams, but the Seahawks returned the favor in Week 16 with an epic fourth-quarter comeback and a two-point conversion in overtime to give them a 38-37 win.

While there’s no telling what’s going to happen in the rubber match, let’s look at some NFC Championship Game predictions.

Rams vs Seahawks Odds

All NFL odds used for these Rams vs Seahawks best bets are current as of Wednesday, Jan. 21, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

  • Moneyline: Rams (+130) vs Seahawks (-155)
  • Spread: Rams +2.5 (-105) vs Seahawks -2.5 (-115)
  • Over/Under: Over 47.5 (-105) / Under 47.5 (-115)

There wasn’t much to separate these teams during the regular season, as a missed field goal decided the first meeting, and a two-point conversion decided the second.

Needless to say, the spread was always going to be less than a field goal.

Of course, while the first meeting was a defensive slugfest, oddsmakers believe the NFC Championship Game will be a high-scoring affair, even if it’s not the 38-37 shootout we saw in December.

Rams vs Seahawks Predictions

Score Prediction: Seahawks 24, Rams 21

The December game between the Rams and Seahawks was the last time Matthew Stafford had a truly great game. Since then, he’s thrown four interceptions in four games (albeit with nine touchdown passes), with the Rams losing once and barely winning their first two playoff games.

More importantly, it looks as if Stafford is being bothered by a sprained finger, which makes his task even more difficult.

Keep in mind that the Seahawks gave up the fewest points in the NFL during the regular season. They’ve allowed 16 points or less in six of their last seven games, albeit with the Rams being the one team to score a lot of points against them during that stretch.

Between Stafford’s finger injury, lessons from the last two meetings, and the home crowd, Seattle’s defense should have an edge over the Los Angeles offense, doing enough on that side of the ball to win a close game.

Rams vs Seahawks Best Bets

Seahawks -2.5 (-115)

The Rams are more than capable of winning this game, but they’re also hard to trust right now. They’ve barely won their first two playoff games and now have a far more challenging opponent.

On the other hand, in their last two games, the Seahawks have allowed no touchdowns and nine total points against a San Francisco offense that had been otherwise potent late in the season.

Even if they aren’t quite that dominant, the Seattle defense will step up in big moments and secure a win for the hosts.

At any number under three, I’m backing the Seahawks as my NFL pick of the day.

Under 47.5 Total Points (-115)

The more surprising of my Rams vs Seahawks predictions is that I foresee a low-scoring affair, more like the first meeting of the season than the overtime thriller in December.

Both teams will be a little more cagey in a championship game. Plus, with Stafford’s finger issue and Sam Darnold nursing an oblique injury, both teams will try to lean on their running game more than usual.

That will reduce the number of possessions and put points at a premium in the NFC Championship Game.
