This weekend’s slate of NFL Divisional Round games concludes with the Chicago Bears hosting the Los Angeles Rams.
Last week, the Bears overcame a 21-3 halftime deficit against the Packers, while the Rams survived a fourth quarter that saw four lead changes against the Panthers.
If this game is anything like either of those, fans are in for a treat.
Without further ado, let’s dive into my Rams vs Bears predictions for a game that looks like it could be unpredictable.
Rams vs Bears Odds
All NFL odds used for these Rams vs Bears best bets are current as of Wednesday, Jan. 14, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
- Moneyline: Rams (-198) vs Bears (+164)
- Spread: Rams -3.5 (-118) vs Bears +3.5 (-102)
- Over/Under: Over 48.5 (-110) / Under 48.5 (-110)
Despite barely surviving as a double-digit road favorite last week, the Rams are once again road favorites in Chicago.
That speaks to how much respect oddsmakers have for MVP front-runner Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles offense.
Oddsmakers are also expecting a shootout, as this game has the highest over/under of the four NFL Divisional Round games this weekend.
Rams vs Bears Predictions
Score Prediction: Rams 34, Bears 28
The Rams are just 2-3 straight up and 2-3 against the spread in their last five road games, so covering 3.5 points is anything but a slam dunk for a team that keeps playing with fire.
That being said, they’ve scored at least 34 points in five of their last six contests, outperforming their season average late in the season.
Meanwhile, the Bears have what most consider the worst defense among the eight remaining teams. They’ve also played with fire in some of their comeback wins and near-comebacks late in the season.
Despite having home-field advantage and a young quarterback who’s playing with confidence, it’s hard to trust the Bears to get the defensive stops they need to upset a team that’s as potent on offense as the Rams.
Chicago can’t fall behind in this game because the script that worked in the second half last week may not work again.
Rams vs Bears Best Bets
Rams -3.5 (-118)
I have some trepidation with this pick because the Rams have been somewhat unconvincing on the road over the last couple of months.
But they also have an experienced quarterback and arguably the best wide receiver in the league right now, leading an offense that can light up the scoreboard.

The Bears don’t have enough defensive resistance to slow down Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles offense.
That’s a problem for a Chicago offense that sometimes waits until the fourth quarter to come alive, and if the Bears don’t play well for four quarters, the Rams should win and cover.

Over 48.5 Total Points (-110)
This is undoubtedly my NFL pick of the day for Sunday.
Chicago’s last seven games have all gone over, with each ending with more than 50 total points, largely because the Bears have been atrocious defensively.
Meanwhile, the Rams have scored at least 34 points in nine of their last 12 games, so they could come close to reaching 48.5 points on their own.
Since Los Angeles has conceded at least 20 points in six of its last seven games, it won’t be able to slow down Caleb Williams for four quarters.
Ultimately, I expect this game to end with well over 48.5 points.
