To wrap up Saturday’s NFL Wild Card games, we’ve got a matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears at Soldier Field.
These NFC North rivals split the season series, with the Bears winning a thrilling game in Week 15 after Jordan Love departed with a concussion. Now back in action, it will be interesting to see how this matchup plays out with Love under center.
On this page, you’ll read Packers vs Bears predictions, including an NFL best bet for the point spread and over/under.
Packers vs Bears Odds
All NFL odds used for these Packers vs Bears best bets are current as of Wednesday, Jan. 7, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
- Moneyline: Packers (-118) vs Bears (-102)
- Spread: Packers -1.5 (-102) vs Bears +1.5 (-118)
- Over/Under: Over 45.5 (-110) / Under 45.5 (-110)
The Packers come into this game as short road favorites, reflecting market confidence in their playoff experience.
That could give them an advantage over Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson, the Bears’ quarterback-head coach combo that will be making their playoff debuts.
The over/under is pretty low, underscoring how cold weather in Chicago could prevent this game from turning into a shootout.
Packers vs Bears Predictions
Score Prediction: Bears 24, Packers 21
Expect this NFC North divisional tilt to come down to the wire.
I give the edge to the Bears because they have home-field advantage. I’m also confident that Johnson will cook up a terrific offensive game plan in his first postseason game as head coach. After all, this is one of the most innovative play-callers in the NFL.
It’s a shame that Micah Parsons is out for the season. He is a generational pass-rusher whose absence leaves a major hole in the Packers’ defense. Without Parsons, Green Bay isn’t nearly as much of a threat.
Considering these circumstances, Chicago looks like a live home dog.
Packers vs Bears Best Bets
Bears +1.5 (-118)
You have to like getting the Bears as home underdogs here. There’s a good chance that this game comes down to a last-second field goal, where we can even win if the Bears lose by one point.
One thing that the Bears have done well this season is lay the foundation for a strong running game. Both D’Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai have exceeded expectations.

The Packers recently got gashed by Derrick Henry on the ground. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Swift and Monangai cause problems for them as well, putting the Bears in a good position to win this game.
I’m backing Chicago with my NFL pick of the day.
Under 45.5 Total Points (-110)
It’s also nice to get past the key numbers of 44 and 45 when taking the under at 45.5 points; this way, we can win with common scorelines like 24-20 or 24-21.
If I’m correct that the Bears can find success on the ground, that would bode well, as it would slow the game down and result in fewer possessions.
Considering the cold weather, the under looks like the safer play in this spot. Target this total with our top sportsbook promotions for 2026.
