The Cleveland Cavaliers will host the Toronto Raptors to kick off Thursday’s three-game NBA slate.
The Cavs had numerous absences on Wednesday night, and Darius Garland, Donovan Mitchell, Evan Mobley, and Jaylon Tyson are all listed as day-to-day. However, Mitchell and Mobley, who missed the last game due to rest, are expected to return.
On the Raptors’ side, they also have a few day-to-day players, including Collin Murray-Boyles, Ochai Agbaji, and Sandro Mamukelashvili.
Below, I’ll attempt to navigate through these numerous injuries and make three Raptors vs Cavaliers predictions.
Raptors vs Cavaliers Predictions
All NBA odds used for these Raptors vs Cavaliers best bets are current as of Thursday, Nov. 13, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Raptors +7.5 (-108) @ Cavaliers
While the Cavaliers should have Mobley and Mitchell back in the lineup, I still like the Raptors to cover.
Toronto defeated Cleveland in NBA Cup action on Oct. 31, and the Cavaliers had Mobley in the lineup that night. Sure, Mitchell was missing, but they might be without Tyson, who had 18 points in that contest, for this one.
Additionally, the Raptors’ offense has been playing pretty well, averaging 119.3 points per game (11th), while shooting 48.8% from the floor (eighth) and 37.8% from beyond the arc (ninth).
They may not get the win here on the road, but they should keep this game relatively close.
Over 239.5 Total Points (-105)
While these teams combined for just 213 points in their first meeting, I think we’ll see the Over hit on Thursday.
The Cavaliers put up 130 without Mobley, Mitchell, Tyson, or Garland yesterday. Sure, this is a back-to-back, so that could slow them down somewhat, but the Raptors, who are the better of the two teams shooting percentage-wise, got a day of rest.
Cleveland received contributions from Jarrett Allen (30 points) and Craig Porter Jr. (19 points) in their last game.
Between others stepping up and the Raptors’ shooting percentages, this is one of my NBA best bets today.
Immanuel Quickley: 16+ Points (-111) @ Cavaliers
For my first and only Raptors vs Cavaliers prop bet, I’m looking at Quickley, who has scored 16 points or more in each of his last three games.
Now, he’ll face a Cavaliers defense that ranks 25th in 3-point shooting percentage allowed at 37.6%. Across Cleveland’s last three games, that percentage has increased to 39.2%.
Quickley has been playing a bunch of minutes (no fewer than 32 per game over his last three), and is averaging 6.1 3-point attempts per game.
He’s in a good spot to hit 16 points against a weaker 3-point defense.
