To close out Week 8, we have the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Washington Commanders.
The Chiefs have won four of their last five games and have scored 28 points or more in each of their previous four. As for the Commanders, they’re 3-4 and will be without quarterback Jayden Daniels after he suffered an injury last week.
The Chiefs are favored by 10.5 points, but this line has been as high as 12.5 at various points throughout the week.
Below, I’ll examine this matchup and offer up my MNF best bets in the props department.
Let’s dive in.
Best Monday Night Football Prop Bets for Commanders vs Chiefs
All NFL odds used for these player props bets are current as of Monday, Oct. 27, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Rashee Rice: First TD Scorer (+550)
Kicking off my best bets for Monday Night Football is something a bit bold, but I think Rice has a great chance to score the first touchdown of the game.
In his first game back last week following a six-game suspension, he scored two touchdowns, saw 10 targets, led the team in target share at 29.4%, and in that 31-0 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, he scored the first touchdown.
Picking the first touchdown scorer can be difficult, but all of the available data we have makes this one of the best Monday Night Football prop bets.
Patrick Mahomes: Under 4.5 Rush Attempts (+104)
Last week, in his first game with Rice on the field, Mahomes ran just four times for 28 yards.
We also saw Isiah Pacheco see 15 carries, and fellow running back Brashard Smith (more on him later) has gotten more work.
Something else that will also help make this among the best Monday Night Football prop bets is another running back, Kareem Hunt, who logged a full practice on Saturday and should suit up.
With his WR1 on the field and a stable of running backs, Mahomes won’t need to run as much as he had over the first quarter of the season.

Brashard Smith: 15+ Receiving Yards (-136)
Speaking of Smith, he’s been involved a fair bit in the passing game.
Over the last two weeks, he’s second on the team in target share at 14.5%, catching eight of nine targets for 63 yards. He’s had 15 receiving yards or more in four straight games.
Smith is a former wide receiver, so it’s no surprise he’s a prolific pass-catcher at the running back position.
Take him at 15+ receiving yards to round out my top MNF prop bets.
