In Week 16 of the NFL season, we’ll see the Philip Rivers-led Indianapolis Colts host the San Francisco 49ers.
The Colts’ playoff hopes remain alive, although they’ll need to win out and get help from other teams.
As for the 49ers, they could clinch a playoff berth with a win if the Detroit Lions lose to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.
With all this in mind, continue reading to see my three best Monday Night Football props.
Best Monday Night Football Prop Bets for 49ers vs Colts
All NFL odds used for these MNF prop bets are current as of Sunday, Dec. 21, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Jonathan Taylor: Anytime TD (-275)
In his first game last week with Rivers under center, Taylor had 28 touches (25 carries and three receptions). While he didn’t score, he was facing one of the best run defenses in the league.

Now, he’ll take on a 49ers defense that’s coming off a game in which they allowed 18 carries for 141 rushing yards and a touchdown to the Tennessee Titans’ running backs, led by Tony Pollard.
Taylor will get ample touches once again and should find the end zone. The odds are fantastic value-wise, making it one of my MNF best bets.
Alec Pierce: Under 20.5 Receiving Yards (-109)
While he put up 16 yards on one catch last week, the usage Pierce had, coupled with how often he was out on the field, doesn’t bode well for going over this line.
Pierce ran a route on 100% of Rivers’ dropbacks, so he’ll be out on the field running routes plenty. However, he saw just a 3.8% target share, including a 0% target share on first and second down, an 8.3% target share on third down, and a 5.3% target share against zone.
Despite being on the field the entire game, he wasn’t getting looked at.
Rivers may get a ball to Pierce roughly 15 yards downfield again, but he is averaging just 3.2 yards after the catch per reception.

Tyler Warren: Over 3.5 Receptions (-146)
Warren led the Colts in target share last week (23.1%), catching three of six passes for 19 yards. This week, he’ll get a 49ers defense that’s allowing 5.71 receptions for 54.71 yards and 0.64 touchdowns to tight ends.
He also drew a 28.6% target share on first and second down and a 27.8% target share against zone coverage.
I’m not claiming Warren will put up 100 yards, but something like four catches for 40 yards isn’t out of the question in this spot.
Back the rookie tight end with your NFL pick of the day.
