There is a jam-packed Premier League schedule this weekend for Matchweek 23, including a few games that should draw plenty of attention from fans.
Of course, I took a close look at both the marquee matchups and the more overlooked matches when picking out my three favorite Premier League predictions for this weekend.
Premier League Predictions: Matchweek 23
All soccer odds used for these EPL Matchweek 23 predictions are current as of Thursday, Jan. 22, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Burnley vs Tottenham: Both Teams to Score (-125)
This is my favorite soccer bet of the day because it feels like an easy win.
Burnley has allowed the second-most goals in the Premier League this season, keeping just one clean sheet in its last 15 matches across all competitions.
Even with a squad that’s depleted by injuries, Thomas Frank’s Tottenham has just enough firepower and proficiency on set pieces to put at least one goal past the Clarets.
On the other side, Spurs have been just as unreliable defensively, especially late in games, and since the Clarets have only been shut out once in their last nine matches, they should find a way to score, especially at home.
Newcastle ML (-105) vs Aston Villa
There are reasons why Newcastle is favored in this match, even though it’s Aston Villa that’s in the title race.
Unai Emery’s squad has already had a busy January, including a midweek trip to Turkey, which should make them extra tired for Sunday’s trip to St. James’ Park. Keep in mind that the Villains have only found the back of the net three times across their last four matches across all competitions, which is a sign of fatigue.

Newcastle, meanwhile, despite some disappointing results recently, is unbeaten in its last four Premier League matches and will have an extra day of rest compared to Villa after a convincing 3-0 Champions League home win over PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday.
Arsenal vs Manchester United: Under 2.5 Goals (+115)
I had to make the biggest game of the weekend part of my Premier League predictions. Unfortunately, the match may not live up to the hype, at least if you want to see goals.
The last four league meetings between Arsenal and Manchester United all ended with two goals or fewer.

Keep in mind that Arsenal has only conceded 14 goals in 22 Premier League matches this season, including just 5 in 11 EPL games at the Emirates Stadium.
While United’s defensive record isn’t as important, four of their last six matches have finished with two goals or fewer, in part because they’ve failed to score more than once in five of their last seven matches, pointing toward a low-scoring affair on Sunday.
