The College Football Playoff is just around the corner, but first, it’s conference championship season.
Ahead of this weekend’s big games, here are my college football Week 15 predictions.

Indiana vs Ohio State Best Bet: Indiana +4 (-110)
Ohio State or Indiana? Indiana or Ohio State? These have clearly been the best two teams in the country, and there’s very little separating them as they barrel into the Big Ten Championship Game in Indianapolis.
Both are 12-0, including 9-0 records in conference play. Both rank top-15 in scoring offense and top-five in scoring defense. Both have a Heisman-worthy quarterback.

Indiana has the most impressive win of the two, beating then-No. 3 Oregon in Eugene. It also owns the country’s largest margin of victory (29.8). But Ohio State has arguably been just as dominant with 11 straight victories by 18 points or more.
I like the defending national champs to win outright, but this is a legit toss-up. Thus, I’m taking Indiana +4 as one of my best college football bets today.
BYU vs Texas Tech Best Bet: Texas Tech -12.5 (-115)
Texas Tech proved up to the task when it last faced BYU on Nov. 8, delivering a stout defensive performance in a 29-7 rout. The Cougars went 3-of-14 on third down and totaled only 255 yards, significantly below their season average of 414.
Led by Heisman candidate Jacob Rodriguez at linebacker, the Red Raiders rank third in the country in scoring defense (11.3 PPG) and sixth in yards allowed per game (258.9).
The Cougars should keep it closer this time, but Texas Tech (11-1 ATS) is on a mission and will lock up a first-round bye in the College Football Playoff with a dominant showing in the Big 12 title game.
Georgia vs Alabama Best Bet: Georgia -2.5 (-115)
Kirby Smart is in his 10th season at Georgia. He has 116 wins, highlighted by three SEC titles and back-to-back national championships in 2021 and 2022.
Despite the Bulldogs’ perennial dominance, Smart still can’t seem to beat his team’s most prominent rival. Alabama’s 24-21 win in Athens on Sept. 27 was its 10th victory over Georgia in the last 11 meetings.

Georgia is 8-0 since then, including a trio of top-25 victories (No. 5 Mississippi, No. 10 Texas, No. 23 Georgia Tech), while Alabama lost once more to No. 11 Oklahoma.
Both teams have flaws, but I’ll take the Bulldogs to return the favor against the Crimson Tide as one of my college gameday picks.
Western Michigan vs Miami OH Best Bet: WMU -2.5 (-108)
Western Michigan has won eight of its last nine games, though that one loss came against Miami (OH), 26-17, on Oct. 25. Now they meet again for the MAC Championship.
In a bizarre twist, Dequan Finn, a seventh-year senior who quarterbacked Miami to that win, left the program last month to begin preparing for the NFL Draft. The RedHawks dropped the next two games, including a 24-20 loss to Ohio started by Finn, but got back on track with a pair of victories to close the regular season.
While freshman quarterback Thomas Gotkowski has helped stabilize things, I’m leery about backing an unproven commodity in a game of this magnitude.
Duke vs Virginia Best Bet: Virginia -4 (-108)
Can 7-5 Duke sneak into the 12-team College Football Playoff? It’s entirely possible.
The Blue Devils are, after all, playing for an ACC title. Then again, only the five highest-ranked conference champions are guaranteed automatic bids, and the Blue Devils’ resume leaves much to be desired.
If Virginia does what’s expected and wins, it’ll be a moot point.
