Army vs Navy Predictions: Back Midshipmen in America’s Game

Last Updated: 6 hours ago

The 126th edition of the Army-Navy game kicks off Saturday (3 p.m. ET) from M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore.

Army (6-5) has won six of the last nine meetings, but Navy (9-2) leads the all-time series 63-55-7.

Ahead of kickoff, here are my top Army vs Navy predictions.

Navy -6 (-112) vs Army

There’s no secret about Army’s style of play. Nobody runs the ball more and throws it less.

The Black Knights will try to grind this game down and turn it into a rock fight.

That said, even if they’re successful, Navy is more explosive and has a quarterback, Blake Horvath, who can make the game-changing plays needed to break the opposition’s spirit.

With that in mind, I’m taking Navy to cover -6 as one of my best college football bets today.

Over 38.5 Total Points (-102)

These two run-heavy offenses excel at chewing up the clock and keeping the ball out of the opponents’ hands, which, of course, tends to result in lower-scoring games.

The Under is 17-2 in this matchup since 2006.

It is important to note, though, that the two Overs came recently in 2022 (Army 20-17, 2 OT) and 2024 (Navy 31-13).

At 38.5, the Over is intriguing because the Midshipmen — who have covered the total in eight of their 11 games — can pile up points in short order.

Blake Horvath: Anytime TD (-190)

One of my favorite Army vs Navy prop bets focuses on Horvath, the Midshipmen’s top playmaker.

Horvath has rushed for 14 touchdowns this season, including at least one in eight of 10 games.

At -190, this price is a bit juiced. Still, profit is profit, and Horvath seems like a good bet to find the end zone given the stakes.
