NBA Player Props Today: Antetokounmpo, Ball, & Banchero Bets for Oct. 22

Last Updated: 16 hours ago

The NBA season officially began on Oct. 21, featuring the Oklahoma City Thunder taking on the Houston Rockets and the Golden State Warriors facing the Los Angeles Lakers, who were without LeBron James.

Tonight’s action ramps up with a full 12-game slate, making it a great time to explore some NBA player props.

Let’s check out the best NBA player props today.

NBA Player Props for Tonight (October 22)

All NBA odds used for these player props bets are current as of Wednesday, Oct. 22, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

Evan Mobley: 2+ Blocks (+111) @ Knicks

Kicking off my best NBA player props tonight, I’m taking Mobley to have at least two blocks.

Last season, Mobley had two or more blocks in 34 of 71 games.

Taking on the Knicks, Mobley is in an intriguing spot. Last season, the Knicks allowed an average of 5.1 blocks per game, which was tied for seventh-most.

Additionally, the Knicks have ruled out center Mitchell Robinson, which will make things easier for Mobley.

Paolo Banchero: Over 25.5 Points (-115) vs Heat

Over 46 regular-season games last year, Banchero had 26 points or more in 22 of them. He played in two games against the Miami Heat, putting up 33 in one of them and 17 in the other.

To close out last season, the Heat allowed 127.7 points per game over their previous three, which ranked third-most in that stretch. In that same stretch, teams shot 52% against them, the second-highest percentage in the league.

The addition of Desmond Bane could impact his scoring, but it’s also his first game with the team.

Banchero will lead them to a big-time win over the Heat.

LaMelo Ball: 23+ Points (-117) vs Nets

To start the season, the Hornets are taking on the lowly Brooklyn Nets. They’ve lost a bunch of talent and will now face a team led by Ball, who averaged over 25 points per game last season.

Across 47 games, Ball had 23 points or more in 33 of them.

Ball faced the Nets twice last season, but logged just 24 minutes in one and 10 minutes in the other.

Fully rested and ready to go, Ball should be in prime scoring form.

Giannis Antetokounmpo: Over 11.5 Rebounds (-137) vs Wizards

For the last of my NBA prop bets, I’m taking Antetokounmpo to have at least 12 rebounds.

Last season, he averaged 11.9 per game, and while the team did add Myles Turner, he’s not exactly known for his rebounding prowess, despite playing center.

Last season, the Wizards allowed a league-high 36 rebounds per game, and they no longer have their leading rebounder, Jonas Valančiūnas, who averaged 8.2 per game across his time with the Wizards and Sacramento Kings.

Antetokounmpo should have a field day, making this No. 1 on my best NBA prop bets list.
