Five NHL teams scored at least four goals on Monday night, as Pittsburgh’s Sidney Crosby was among the players who netted a pair.
Tuesday’s 10-game slate should offer even more opportunities for us to find some players to light the lamp.
Let’s dig into my best NHL goalscorer bets today.
NHL Goalscorer Predictions Today
All hockey odds used for these NHL goalscorer predictions today are current as of Tuesday, Dec. 2, and courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.
Cole Caufield: Anytime Goalscorer (+155) vs Senators
Caufield leads the Canadiens with 14 goals in 24 games, and he has scored eight times in 12 contests on home ice.
Tonight, he’ll face an Ottawa Senators squad that allows the third-most goals on the road of any team in the NHL (3.86 per game).
The Sens surrendered six in their most recent outing against the Dallas Stars on Sunday and are playing their seventh straight road game.
Caufield scored the opening goal in Montreal’s 4-3 overtime win over Ottawa at Bell Centre on Nov. 1, and I like his chances to find the net again to cash my NHL pick of the day.
Jason Robertson: First Goalscorer (+950) vs Rangers
Robertson has been on a goalscoring tear of late, so I find it hard to believe that he hasn’t scored the first goal in any game this season.
The 26-year-old winger is tied for the Dallas team lead with 16 goals, 13 of which have come in the Stars’ last 10 games. Robertson has found the net in nine of those 10 contests, including each of the previous two.
Tonight, Dallas will visit a New York Rangers team that has scored first in just two of its 11 games at Madison Square Garden. Meanwhile, the Stars have taken the lead in seven of their 13 road games.
NHL first goalscorer stats aren’t necessarily predictive, but Dallas is likely to take the lead on Tuesday night, and Robertson should eventually score first if he continues to light the lamp at this pace.

Brad Marchand: Anytime Goalscorer (+150) vs Maple Leafs
For my other NHL anytime goalscorer prop, I’m targeting Florida Panthers forward Brad Marchand.
Marchand leads the Panthers with 15 goals in 23 games, and while his 23.4% shooting percentage likely isn’t sustainable, he always shows up against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The 37-year-old netted three goals in seven playoff games against the Leafs in May, including the overtime winner in Game 3 that turned the tide of the series. Marchand also scored twice against Toronto in the regular season.
The Leafs have conceded the second-most goals per game (3.90) on the road this season, making Marchand a solid option on Tuesday night.
