Draftkings App Overview
The DraftKings Sportsbook app allows players to place wagers on their favorite sports and events. Before diving in, it’s important to check whether you’re in one of DraftKings’ legal states.
It can be used easily by players of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced players.
While you can wager on the desktop platform, the mobile app offers everything the desktop platform does and lets you do so on the go.
So, if you’ve only ever used the desktop website, there won’t be any kind of learning curve moving over to the mobile app.
It’s available for both iOS and Android users, which I’ll discuss in the next portion of this DraftKings mobile app review.
Draftkings App Download: How To Get Started
To get started with the DraftKings app download, you’ll first need to visit the app store that’s appropriate to your device. If you use an iPhone (iOS), you’ll visit the Apple Store. Alternatively, if you use an Android device, visit the Google Play Store.
Here’s how to download from both sources and how to get started.
Draftkings App Download For Ios
- Visit the Apple App Store.
- Search for “DraftKings Sportsbook.”
- Find the app and click “Get” to start and complete the download.
- Open the app.
- Click “Log In” in the upper right corner.
- Here, you’ll also find a link to “Sign Up.”
- Complete this process. It’ll include providing personal information such as your name, address, date of birth, the last four digits of your social security number, and more.
The personal information that’ll be asked of you is completely normal for an online sports betting app such as DraftKings, as all income from sports betting is considered taxable.
Draftkings App Download For Android
The process for Android users is the same as the steps laid out above for iOS users. The only difference is that you’ll visit the Google Play Store and click “Install.”
Other than that, the layout and registration process are all the same.
Using The Draftkings Mobile App
During the process of creating an account at DraftKings, you’ll have to, as mentioned, provide personal details to confirm your identity. You’ll also receive a code on your phone to verify your mobile number.
After this, you’ll verify your account. Here, you may be asked to provide a picture of your government-issued ID.
Once this is all set, you can also enable facial recognition as an additional form of Two-Factor Authentication, in addition to the texted code.
Finally, placing a wager is easy. Simply scan through the available markets and find something that interests you. For me, I found a wager for Super Bowl 60: the New England Patriots’ moneyline at +190.
After clicking it, it’ll appear in your betslip, where you can enter how much you want to wager. You’ll then see the potential payout if you win and whether it’s “Cash Out” eligible. This means that, during the game, you’ll have opportunities to exit the wager early.
Once you put in how much you want to wager, simply click the green button below to place your wager and wait for the result.

Along the bottom of the mobile app, you’ll see a button that says “All Sports.”
After clicking on that, here are all of the sports betting markets I was able to find:

Draftkings App Features & Tools
Here is a list of features and tools players can access with the DraftKings mobile app:
Live Betting
Along the bottom of the app is a button to “Live.” When you click on this, you can sort by the sport, followed by the type of wager. Additionally, you can click on specific games where you can see a live tracker of what’s happening in the game if you’re unable to wager on it, to help make more informed wagers. The betting markets include many of the same that you’ll find with pre-game wagers.
Cash Out
You can exit a bet early, whether that’s to preserve a bad bet or not risk a currently winning wager for losing. To do this, you’ll click " Place a bet and then click on “My Bets” along the menuatn the bottom. There will be a tab specifically for Cash Out, so you can click on that to see which of your current wagers qualify.
Betting Groups
You can create a group of friends or join other groups to share bets, swap insights, and keep conversations going throughout the season. This is also part of the DK Social tab at the top of the app.
Sportsbook Pools
You can join various pools with an entry fee and a total prize pool. This is similar to DraftKings’ daily fantasy sports platform in that each poll will have its own pay table and rules. There will also be a maximum number of entries per user, as well as how people are paid out.
Free-to-play Game
Right now, DraftKings has a free-to-play game, “Full Court Draw.” Here, you’ll come back each day to reveal a player. If that player scores 15 points or more, you’ll earn 1 point. If at the end of the week all seven players score 15 points or more on that day, you’ll win a share of $25,000 in bonus bets. Tonight, my player for Monday, Feb. 2, is Charlotte Hornets shooting guard Kon Knueppel.

Payments & Banking On The Draftkings App
The available deposit methods may vary by state. However, for me, I was able to make deposits using Online Banking (ACH), Debit Card, Apple Pay, PayPal, Gift Card, Wire Transfer, or Venmo. I frequently use PayPal, so DraftKings will learn your preferences and make it seamless to deposit funds into your account by preloading the information each time you hit “Deposit.”
As for the Gift Card, yes, DraftKings has its own unique gift cards that you can purchase at retailers.
Moving on to withdrawal methods, the fastest options are Online Banking and PayPal, but there are others, too: Wire Transfer, Check by Mail, Debit Card, Apple Pay, and Venmo.

With the DraftKings mobile app, your confidential information is protected by SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. This applies to your personal and payment information.

Many players enjoy the app’s ease of use, including Paul, who says it’s easy to deposit and withdraw and that he’s been using the platform for more than three years.

As for the 1-star reviews, there have been some recent complaints of the app crashing. That said, when we reviewed the app, an update was available, so that may have fixed the issue.
Is The Draftkings App Worth Using In 2026?
Absolutely. DraftKings is a mobile app that I use daily, and it is among the best sports betting apps on the market today. While I’d like human customer support to be a bit better, the AI chatbot and FAQ page do a fine job of addressing common questions and concerns.
There are also endless markets and promotions to access here, too. That said, there’s no DraftKings no deposit bonus available right now.
In 2026, you can’t go wrong using the DraftKings mobile app.
