Michigan vs UCLA Bet: 2021 March Madness Elite 8 Pick and Prediction. The first weekend of the NCAA Tournament is in the books and we are onto the Elite 8! Michigan has what it takes to make it to the championship, but UCLA’s momentum could play a huge role in this classic battle of two historic college basketball teams.
Even if your bracket is already busted, you can still get in the game. Read all of our 2021 March Madness betting picks and 2021 NCAA Tournament predictions.
Michigan, coming into the tournament as an easy choice for a top seed, has not disappointed this March. The Wolverines now have a 16-point victory over Texas Southern, an 8-point defeat of LSU, and an 18-point beat down of Florida State on their ledger.
UCLA has surprised many as an 11-seed, beating a strong BYU team by 11 points, Abilene Christian by 20, and an elite Alabama team by 10. Michigan is nothing UCLA has not seen already across their season, but it will be a tough feat for them to pull out a win against one of the best.

This is where I believe the Bruins’ Cinderella run in the tournament comes to an end. Michigan’s firepower on both ends of the floor will simply be too much for UCLA to deal with and I strongly envision a Michigan double-digit victory in this one. UCLA knows how to fight and claw its way into keeping games closer than they should be which puts the spread in jeopardy somewhat, but Michigan is simply too good.
The total line of 136.5 is very interesting, and I would have it as my best bet in this game. The Over is the play considering that this game figures to be one full of run-and-gun offense. If Michigan is controlling the pace for the better part of this game, I see this going well Over.
Michigan games in the tournament have averaged 149 points per game while UCLA games have managed an average of 138 points — both topping the 136.5 total. Expect the Over to hit comfortably barring an offensive disappearance from the Wolverines.
