The Chicago Bears will hit the road to take on the Minnesota Vikings in a Week 18 NFC North battle. Both of these teams are officially eliminated from playoff contention, and while there are no headlines to be made from that perspective, let’s try and find some value bets.
The Bears (6-10) have played quite well recently, winning their last two games, including one against the Seattle Seahawks. With nothing to lose, the Bears will likely look to get some of their younger pieces some action.
This would have included quarterback Justin Fields, but he was placed on the COVID-19 list on Thursday likely ending his season.
The Vikings (7-9) have routinely been around a .500 team for the past few seasons, and this one is no different. They have largely been a disappointment, and this game could represent the finishing touches on Kirk Cousins’ career with the Vikings.

With both teams out of the playoff race, I’m not sure what to expect from either team.
I believe there’s no doubt that the Vikings are the superior team, and they are at home, but anything can happen here.

Despite Vikings running back Dalvin Cook being listed on the injury report all week with an illness, he is likely going to be active for Week 18.
The Bears have an extensive injury report at the moment, and with Fields unable to go in Week 18, it puts Chicago in a tough spot.
However, I don’t think even that will change which way I’m leaning.
Prediction: Bears 24, Vikings 21

Best Bet: Bears +5.5 (-110) at Caesars
Wager: 1.5 Units
This is one of those games where I feel like the stars align too much in favor of the Vikings for them to actually cover. As I mentioned, I believe this game could go either way, and I do expect a close scoring final.
In this instance, taking the points is a sound practice, making this our NFL pick of the day.
Best Bet: Over 44 Total Points (-110) at Caesars
Wager: 0.5 Units
I only have the game going over by a point, so I believe this line is a little too sharp to play this as anything but a lean.
If you’re looking for action, I like the Over a tad more than the Under here, with these defenses being nothing special.
