The Carolina Panthers pick Terrace Marshall No. 59 overall in the 2021 NFL Draft on Friday night.

Panthers Pick Terrace Marshall No. 59 Overall In 2021 NFL Draft

The Panthers got a steal with wide receiver Terrace Marshall at 59th overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. Marshall can help replace the loss of Curtis Samuel, joining an impressive skills group that includes Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, and Robby Anderson.

Marshall has good size at 6-foot-2, 205 pounds. He has a wide catch radius and the speed to make plays downfield. Marshall can eventually replace Anderson as the number-two wide receiver in this offense.

Marshall was expected to go higher than receivers like D’Wayne Eskridge and Tutu Atwell, so this is a nice value for the Panthers. Adding another receiver will help new quarterback Sam Darnold take it to the next level as a passer.

Terrace Marshall 2021 Fantasy Football Outlook

Marshall is worth a look in the later rounds because I really like this landing spot. Joe Brady is a terrific offensive coordinator and should put Marshall in a position to succeed as a rookie. If Anderson or Moore were to miss time with injuries, Marshall could step in and become an upside WR3.

The Panthers will have an improved offense with Darnold as an upgrade over Teddy Bridgewater. I’ll be looking to draft Marshall as an upside WR4/5 in season-long leagues this year.

Terrace Marshall Dynasty Fantasy Football Outlook

Marshall was a steal in the second round. He had no business going behind Eskridge or Atwell.

I think Darnold will take off in Carolina, so Marshall will be tied to a promising young quarterback. I also believe that he’ll eventually supplant Anderson as the No. 2 receiver in this offense. Marshall is one of my favorite values in dynasty fantasy football leagues.

2021 Carolina Panthers Win Total Bet

  • Over 7.5 Wins (-110)
  • Under 7.5 Wins (-110)

The Panthers won five games last year and have upgraded at quarterback with Sam Darnold as well as on defense with the selection of Horn. This is a star-studded offense with Christian McCaffrey, D.J. Moore, Robby Anderson, and now Terrace Marshall. The Panthers have the makings of a surprise team. I’d go with the Over here.

2021 Carolina Panthers Bet To Make Playoffs?

  • Yes (+200)
  • No (-250)

The Panthers are a terrific value at +200 to make the playoffs. Darnold will excel in Joe Brady’s scheme and take it to the next level as a passer. I’d bet on the Panthers as a surprise playoff team this year.

Carolina Panthers To Win NFC South Division Title (+700)

While the Panthers are an improved team, they’re not ready to win this division yet. The defending Super Bowl champion Bucs are returning each of their key pieces from last season, so they’re the heavy favorite to win the NFC South. The Panthers are more of a Wild Card contender.

Carolina Panthers To Win Super Bowl 56 (+5000)

The Panthers are worth laying a bet as a playoff team with a great offense and ascending defense, but they’re not ready to contend for a Super Bowl at this stage of the rebuild.
