If Caesars sounds like the betting site for you, consider signing up and placing the following wager:
Best Bet: 49ers Moneyline @ Cowboys (+140) at Caesars
I like the Dallas Cowboys, but I can’t help but feel that their losses are a bit more impressive than their wins.
Outside of their overtime victory over the New England Patriots in Foxborough during Week 6, it’s hard to sit here and rave about their résumé. This is a sub-.500 team against playoff teams, and two of their three wins over said teams came against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The San Francisco 49ers, on the other hand, went 4-4 against playoff teams this season, with two of those losses coming to the No. 1 seeds in each conference. They’re by no means a great team — the quarterback play is one example of that — but they seem better built for this situation than Dallas does.
I may come to regret this pick, but I’m riding with the Niners here. They’re battle-tested, plus they have the momentum and weapons necessary to take down the Cowboys.
TwinSpires NFL Wild Card Bet Promos
TwinSpires Sportsbook may not be as well-known to sports bettors who don’t wager on horseracing, but their welcome bonus is up there with the best. TwinSpires — owned by Churchill Downs Inc. — offers a risk-free first bet of up to $1,000 to new users who .
Their bonus is quite simple to understand. If your first wager of $1,000 or less is unsuccessful, TwinSpires will return your initial stake in the form of a free bet. Essentially, the sportsbook is granting you another shot at a reward if you don’t win on your first try, which is also explained in Anthony Cervino’s TwinSpires Sportsbook review.
If you’d like to take advantage of this offer, consider pairing it with the following NFL Wild Card bet for a nice payout:
Best Bet: Buccaneers -9 vs Eagles (-110) at TwinSpires
As far as preferred postseason matchups go, the Philadelphia Eagles have been dealt a horrid hand. Philly — a team dead-set on running the football — will have to go through Tampa Bay’s vaunted rush defense (and Tom Brady) in order to advance deeper into the postseason.
To give credit to the Eagles, they did keep things relatively close when these teams last met in Week 6. A late touchdown from Jalen Hurts made the final margin of defeat a mere six points, which gave Philadelphia a backdoor cover at home.
But this is the playoffs, the Eagles will have to decide if they want to play to their offensive strengths or take what the defense gives them on the road. And considering that Philly ranks 25th in both passing yards and touchdowns, neither option seems especially great.
It’s been a nice run, but it ends here against the defending Super Bowl champions.
FOX Bet NFL Wild Card Bet Promos
FOX Bet Sportsbook is a great option for bettors of all backgrounds with tons of great promotions, including their welcome bonus. The site offers a risk-free bet of up to $500 to new users who , which could help a rookie bettor end up with a huge payout or give an experienced one a good opportunity to check out a new sportsbook.
After making your first deposit at FOX Bet, you’ll receive a risk-free bet of up to $500, depending on how much you choose to wager with your first bet pick. If your first bet is unsuccessful, FOX Bet will return your initial stake in full in free bet funds as outlined in Anthony Cervino’s FOX Bet Sportsbook review.
If this offer sounds appealing to you, consider signing up and using it on the following bet for NFL Wild Card Weekend:
Best Bet: Steelers @ Chiefs: OVER 46.5 Points (-110) at FOX Bet
When these two teams last met on December 26, the Kansas City Chiefs absolutely slaughtered the Pittsburgh Steelers, winning 36-10 in a game that wasn’t even as close as the final score suggests. As 13-point underdogs, Pittsburgh was expectedly outplayed in virtually every aspect of the game.
Now only a few weeks later, the Steelers are heading back to Kansas City as massive underdogs. And while I don’t think they’ll cover the spread, I’m not confident enough to put money on it. Therefore, the next best bet would be taking the Over.
Last time out against the Chiefs, the Steelers turned the ball over three times, which tied their season-high. Even with all their offensive woes, a three-turnover game is uncharacteristic for Pittsburgh, which generally takes care of the ball and averages roughly 1.2 per game.
I have no doubt that Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs will be able to light up the Steelers’ defense. As long as Ben Roethlisberger and co. can limit their mistakes, they should score more than 10 points this time around, even if much of those points come during garbage time.
