The Best Way to Use Your DraftKings New York Promo
Looking to use your free bets at DraftKings? Since your stake will not be included in any winnings, we recommend using them on wagers with longer odds to maximize your payout. You’ll also want to use them soon, since they’re only valid for seven days after signing up.
Thankfully, there are several interesting wagering opportunities involving New York teams to consider this weekend, including an NBA showdown between the New York Knicks and Boston Celtics on Saturday as well as a divisional clash between the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills in the NFL regular-season finale on Sunday.
Here are some NFL betting tips to help you make the most of your promo:
Super Bowl Best Bet: Bills Win Super Bowl 56 (+750) at DraftKings
The Bills have had an up-and-down season, which has caused some of their early Super Bowl hype to wear off. Josh Allen hasn’t played quite as well as he did last year, and the team endured a 3-5 stretch during the middle of the season that included an ugly, embarrassing loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Buffalo has turned things around with three straight wins, however, and will likely earn a fourth against the Jets at home this weekend to clinch the AFC East.
The Bills are also perhaps the most well-rounded team in the NFL. Their offense ranks third in scoring at 28.5 points per game, as Allen is still one of the most dynamic signal-callers in the league. Their defense is also spectacular, ranking second with just 17.4 points per game allowed.
Buffalo’s dominance is evident in their game log. All 10 of their wins have come by double digits, while five of their six losses were by one possession. This is a team that can hang with anyone thanks to their defense and frequently blows opponents out of the water with their explosive offense.
The Bills may not be the sexy Super Bowl pick anymore, but discount them at your own peril.

Jets vs Bills Best Bet: Jets Moneyline (+700) at DraftKings
While it’s been another rough season for the Jets and their fans, there are several reasons to be optimistic about their chances in Buffalo on Sunday.
For starters, New York has played much better recently, especially on offense. The Jets have scored 20+ points in three straight games for the first time all season. The improved production has resulted in three consecutive one-possession games, including a Week 16 win over the Jaguars and a near-upset of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week.
While the Bills are the better team, they’re not invincible. They lost to the Jaguars, after all, and have played down to their competition several times this year. Bad weather in Buffalo will also likely prevent both teams from passing much, which limits Josh Allen‘s effectiveness and reduces the opportunities for Zach Wilson to make mistakes.
Furthermore, weird things happen in divisional games, especially during the final game of the season. Players are tired and beat up, while teams with postseason berths are already looking ahead to the playoffs.
This seems like a trap game for Buffalo, especially against a surging New York team that’s playing its best football of the year under Robert Saleh. It’s still a longshot, but don’t be surprised if the Jets sneak away with a win here.
