Ohio State Odds & Best Futures Bets

Last Updated: Dec 20, 2022

Ohio State is to the Big Ten as Kentucky is to chickens: Just as you can’t have KFC without chicken, you can’t have the Big Ten without Ohio State.

Last year, the Buckeyes were a disappointment despite going 10-2 during the regular season. With an 11-win total, not only did OSU go under, but they failed to even make the Big Ten Conference game as a -225 pre-season favorite to win the conference.

This season, Ohio State finished with an 11-1 record, with their only loss to an undefeated Michigan team. With the Buckeyes as the fourth seed in the College Football Playoff, I discuss the best Ohio State futures bets below.

Ohio State National Championship Bet

Ohio State: Win National Championship (+350) at Caesars Sportsbook

If Ohio State beats Georgia, they are likely to be favored in the National Championship game. Caesars has them as a 2.5-point favorite in a rematch with Michigan and as a 10.5-point favorite against TCU.

The issue with the Buckeyes is if they can defeat Georgia in the semi-final game.

Georgia as the best CFB team (despite a strong case that could be made for Michigan) is unsurprisingly favored by nearly a touchdown against Ohio State. While UGA should be favored, OSU should only be about a 3.5 or 4-point underdog.

Up until the Buckeyes lost to Michigan, they were co-favorites with Georgia to win the National Championship, and quarterback C.J. Stroud could have a big enough game against Georgia to vault Ohio State into the National Championship.
