Best Nuggets Betting Lines 2023
The Denver Nuggets were hardly a threat to win the title last year, but don’t let recent history dictate how you feel about their chances in 2022-23. This team is finally healthy again, and the Nuggets look like an extremely savvy NBA Finals choice heading into the season.
Of course, the team lives and dies by the hand of two-time MVP Nikola Jokić, but with Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. ready to take the floor again — not to mention the additions of Bruce Brown and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope — this team has some serious depth.
Could this finally be the year for the Nuggets? The idea of this team taking the next step seems more realistic than ever before, but they’ll have plenty of competition en route to a potential NBA Finals appearance.
Let’s take a closer look at the Nuggets betting odds for the 2022-23 NBA season.

Nuggets NBA Finals Odds
Nuggets Win 2023 NBA Finals (+2000)
The Nuggets currently have the seventh-best odds to win the NBA title, sitting between the Heat and Grizzlies at (+2000). This puts them in the same group as other mid-tier title contenders, including the 76ers and Lakers.
This is a placement that I would have agreed with last season. But considering the extra hands that Denver will have on deck this year, I can’t help but feel that oddsmakers are overlooking the Nuggets.
Back this team now before the odds shift out of your favor.
Nuggets Western Conference Odds
Nuggets Win Western Conference (+900)
Currently, the Nuggets are slated behind the Warriors (+320), Clippers (+330), and Suns (+430) in the Western Conference race. Again, I feel like the gap between Denver (+900) and the next-best contender is simply too wide.
The Nuggets are closer to Phoenix than oddsmakers believe — especially since the Suns appear to be falling apart at the seams. If anything, I think a (+600) price tag on Denver to win the West would be sufficient.
Take advantage of this price before it drops.
Nuggets Northwest Division Odds
Nuggets Win Northwest Division (-160)
The Nuggets will be challenged for the division crown, but not by the usual suspects. The Jazz (+24000) are now tied with the Thunder for last place, while the Timberwolves (+155) have the second-best odds to win the Northwest.
That’s no surprise, either. Rudy Gobert‘s move to Minnesota and Donovan Mitchell‘s trade to Cleveland have left the Jazz looking like a shell of their former selves.
I like the Timberwolves, but not enough to pick them over the Nuggets in the division. Expect Denver to pace the Northwest in wins this season and earn the banner.
Nuggets Make Playoffs Odds
Nuggets Make the Playoffs (-950)
The Nuggets made the playoffs in 2021-22 despite Murray missing the entire season and Porter playing in just nine games. It wasn’t a particularly close call, either — they finished six games ahead of the eight-seeded Clippers and two games up on the seven-seeded Timberwolves.
With an intact roster and a wide-open Western Conference, the Nuggets are a shoo-in to make the playoffs. Just don’t go making this bet seeking value, because it’s not there at (-950) odds.
Nuggets Win Total Bets 2023
Nuggets OVER 50.5 Wins (-110)
Denver won 48 games in 2021-22, and that team was a shell of the one we’ll be seeing on the floor in 2023. There’s more than enough room for Denver to win just three additional games this season with the help of Murray and Porter, and I expect them to do so.
Nuggets Prop Bets 2023
Nikola Jokić Leads League in Rebounds (+390)
As much as I’d like to pick Jokić to win his third consecutive MVP award, it’s just not happening. Voter fatigue is a very real thing, and with Murray and Porter back in the lineup this season, Jokić’s usage rate is bound to decrease. That doesn’t bode well for his potential MVP campaign.
However, we can still find a plus-odds prop for Jokić on FanDuel, and that’s for him to lead the league in rebounds per game.
Jokić hauled in an average of 13.8 rebounds in 2021-22, which was second only to Gobert (14.7) and well above Kings forward Domantas Sabonis (12.1), who finished in third. Gobert’s numbers figure to drop off a bit in 2023 now that he’s playing alongside Karl-Anthony Towns, which opens the door for Jokić.
Jokić is averaging 11.5 rebounds per game over his last three seasons. Should he be able to turn in another season on the glass like we saw last year, this honor will be his to lose.
How to Bet Nuggets Moneylines
Moneyline betting is the easiest way to get involved in wagering on NBA games. With these types of bets, all you need to do is correctly pick the winner of a game. Choose right, and you’ll win your bet.
A team’s moneyline odds will change on a nightly basis depending on the team they’re up against. For example, the Nuggets would be a heavy favorite against the Jazz — indicated by a minus symbol (-200) — and would likely be an underdog — indicated by a plus symbol (+150) — against the Warriors.
Betting on underdogs to win brings the potential for more profit, but favorites generally win games more often, so it’s important to find a balance and choose wisely when making these types of wagers.

How to Bet Nuggets Spreads
Spread betting is similar to moneylines in the sense that they have to do with the winner and loser of the game, but spreads take it a step further by involving a margin of victory. Both options are evenly priced, and each team gets the same number to work with.
For example, let’s say the Nuggets are playing the Timberwolves. Denver is the favorite in this game, and they’re expected to win by about five points. This might look something like this at a sportsbook: Timberwolves +4.5 (-110) vs Nuggets -4.5 (-110).
In this case, if the Nuggets win by five points or more, they would cover the spread. However, if the Timberwolves win the game or lose by less than five points, then they would cover the spread instead.

How to Bet Nuggets Over/Unders
Over/Unders are easy bets to make as well, especially if you’re feeling uncertain about which team will win the game. Here, all you have to do is pick whether you think the combined number of points scored in a game will end up above or below the projected total.
For example, a game between the Nuggets and Timberwolves might have a projected total of 230.5 points. From here, you’d decide whether you believe 231+ points will be scored, or if below 230 points will be scored.
