The concurrent playing of the FA Cup quarterfinals this weekend means we will have a reduced list of fixtures for Premier League Matchweek 28.
Brighton, Fulham, and both Manchester clubs have had their EPL matches postponed, which has consequently created an opportunity for Arsenal to go eight points clear at the top of the table heading into the upcoming international break.
While there are fewer fixtures to choose from this week, there is still plenty of value to find.
Let’s dig into the EPL fixtures for Matchweek 28 and determine our best bets.

Nottingham Forest vs Newcastle Best Bet
Nottingham Forest or Tie (+110) | BetMGM Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
Forest are winless in their last five Premier League games, but they have been a different team at the City Ground. Steve Cooper‘s side is unbeaten in its last nine EPL home games and currently sits above the drop-zone because of its home form.
Meanwhile, Newcastle have won just four of their 12 Premier League road fixtures and have had trouble finding the back of the net in recent weeks.
The tie (+275) feels like the most likely outcome, but I prefer this prop as my EPL pick of the day in case the Nottingham faithful propel the home side to victory.
Wolves vs Leeds Best Bet
Wolves Moneyline (+120) | BetMGM Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
Given how compact the bottom of the Premier League table is, this match feels like a relegation six-pointer.
Wolves have looked like a better side under manager Julen Lopetegui, though goals (and results) have still been hard to come by. I’m still trusting the home side here against a Leeds team that has lost nine of its 13 road fixtures this season and collected just six points (1 win, 3 draws) away from Elland Road.
The loss of Tyler Adams (hamstring) likely won’t help Leeds end that run, especially since the high-motor midfielder has been a stalwart in the LUFC squad this season.
Look for Wolves to take advantage this weekend.
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace Best Bet
Under 2.5 Goals (+105) | BetMGM Sportsbook
WAGER: 1 Unit
After a midseason blip, the Gunners have won five straight matches to retain their spot atop the Premier League. They’ll have a great chance to extend that run Sunday in a London derby against Crystal Palace.
The Eagles have been woeful of late, failing to win a match in the entirety of 2023. Palace recently became the first team in the history of the Premier League to fail to record a shot on target in three consecutive matches and enter this match without a goal in four straight.
Meanwhile, Arsenal continue to pile in the goals, especially at the Emirates Stadium, having netted seven times across their last two EPL home victories. However, given the likelihood that Palace doesn’t contribute to the total, I’m taking the Under at plus-money.
Both teams could have some tired legs, as Palace played at Brighton on Wednesday and Arsenal exited the Europa League after 120 minutes and a penalty shootout against Sporting CP on Thursday. The Eagles also have shown promise defensively, holding Man City to a single goal last weekend.
After sacking manager Patrick Vieira on Friday, I don’t expect Palace to roll over easily on Sunday.
Premier League Matchweek 28 Parlay
- Aston Villa Win (vs Bournemouth)
- Tottenham Win (at Southampton)
- Wolves Win (vs Leeds)
- Chelsea Win (vs Everton)
(+884) | BetMGM Sportsbook
Bournemouth, like Leeds United, have lost nine of their 13 away trips this season, and Unai Emery‘s Aston Villa have done well to separate themselves from the bottom of the table by beating those bottom-feeder clubs.
Spurs have been particularly hard to trust from week-to-week, but they should be able to collect all three points at Southampton, especially since the Saints played in mid-week. Look for Harry Kane and co. to continue to their top-four push.
Perennial top-four contenders Chelsea are unlikely to bridge the gap to Spurs this season after a slow start, but Graham Potter‘s Blues are rounding into form with three straight victories in all competitions. A home match with relegation-candidate Everton should see that run continue.
