NFL DFS Best Picks Week 9 | PrizePicks Lineups & Sleepers

Last Updated: Jul 14, 2023

With four teams on bye in Week 9, it could create headaches for season-long fantasy football leagues. This gives you another reason to play NFL Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) this week.

If you’re looking for a way to combine the fun of betting and fantasy, PrizePicks may be the perfect site for you.

Unlike the typical salary cap lineup construction format that most DFS sites follow, PrizePicks has users build their own parlays by selecting Over or Under on up to five specific player props instead. The more props you select, the higher the multiplier on the entry fee.

Another plus about PrizePicks is their Flex Play option, which allows users to win even with missed picks, though it lowers the potential payout for perfect picks.

Now that you understand how PrizePicks works, let’s get into the DFS football predictions series for Week 9!

Stat information for NFL DFS Week 9 picks is current as of Friday, November 5, at 11:00 a.m. ET.

NFL DFS Week 9: Single-Stat Daily Fantasy Sports

With the single-stat game format, users will pick Over or Under for a player’s performance in a single stat. Users can string picks together across different games and sports.

Elijah Mitchell, RB, San Francisco 49ers

Over 74.5 Rushing Yards

The Cardinals have had a poor run defense all season, and then they lost J.J. Watt, making a weakness worse. It was exploited by the Packers last Thursday night. Now, the Cardinals have given up 4.9 yards per carry, which is the second-most in the NFL.

Meanwhile, Elijah Mitchell has quietly been an effective bell cow for San Francisco. He has back-to-back games with 18 carries for 100+ yards and a touchdown. Mitchell has run for over 100 yards in three of his five games this season.

Facing a poor run defense, he should do it again.

Darrel Williams, RB, Kansas City Chiefs

Over 47.5 Rushing Yards

In case you somehow haven’t heard, Aaron Rodgers got COVID and will be out this game for the Packers. This throws Jordan Love into the starting lineup for Green Bay, severely limiting their chance to win this game. It points to the Chiefs jumping out to a lead early and holding it throughout.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire will also continue to be out for this game, making Darrel Williams the lead back yet again. In Williams’ two starts that the Chiefs won, he put up rushing totals of 62 and 49. The Packers have given up the fourth-most rushing yards per attempt in the NFL, at 4.7.

Aaron Jones, RB, Green Bay Packers

Over 29.5 Receiving Yards

If Love’s preseason performance was any indication of what we will see on Sunday, the Packers will ask him to get the ball out quickly and not force the ball downfield. One of the Packers’ best weapons around the line of scrimmage is undoubtedly Aaron Jones, who is also an effective receiving weapon.

We have also seen Kansas City struggle to defend running backs. The Chiefs have given up 56.4 receiving yards to opposing running backs per game. Jones has also totaled over 30 receiving yards in two of his past three games.

NFL DFS Week 9: Fantasy Score Game

The Fantasy Score Game format follows the same concept as the Single-Stat Game. However, instead of picking a player’s performance in a stat category, users will pick Over or Under a player’s fantasy point total. For NFL DFS, PrizePicks follows a PPR scoring format.

Khalil Herbert, RB, Chicago Bears

Under 13.0 Fantasy Points

Khalil Herbert has been impressive for the Bears. However, he has as tough of a matchup as there is this week.

Herbert faces the Steelers in Pittsburgh on Monday Night Football, who give up 14.9 total NFL fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. They have also allowed running backs to score only twice this season.

The Bears’ offensive line is nowhere near talented enough to hold their own against this talented defensive front. If a touchdown is unlikely, it will be extremely tough for him to score 13 fantasy points.

Joe Mixon, RB, Cincinnati Bengals

Over 15.5 Fantasy Points

Joe Mixon has been one of the best running backs in the NFL this season, averaging 90 total yards per game, and he has scored at least one touchdown in five straight games.

The Browns’ run defense has been pretty good. However, they have been beaten by running backs that are receivers out of the backfield. In fact, they have given up four receiving touchdowns to the position, which is tied for the third-most in the NFL.

Mixon is a talented receiver, totaling nine catches over the past three games, which includes zero in their blowout of Baltimore. If he finds the end zone — as he has been — this should be a relatively easy prop to go Over.

Boston Scott, RB, Philadelphia Eagles

Over 9.0 Fantasy Points

Miles Sanders is out again for the Eagles this week. Last week, it was Boston Scott who was given the early-down work for the Eagles team. He turned 12 carries into 60 yards and two touchdowns.

After Philadelphia got up by so much, the other running backs began to mix in more and more. Facing the Chargers this week, it should be a more competitive game, so Scott should see more time on the field.

The Chargers have given up the most rushing yards per attempt in the NFL at 5.1.
