The early portion of the NBA season has been interesting, and while judging teams based on how they start is flawed, it’s a key way to assess each team’s standing going forward.
On a slate with nine games tonight, there is a ton of value to be had in the NBA. Let’s take a look at our best bets for tonight’s action.

NBA Bets of the Day 10/25/21
Boston Celtics @ Charlotte Hornets, 7:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Hornets Moneyline (-110) at Caesars
The Celtics have been underwhelming to this point in the season, and the Hornets have exceeded expectations. Charlotte has not particularly played playoff-bound teams yet, but they are still firing on all cylinders. Sophomore point guard LaMelo Ball leads the charge, averaging 22 points per game.
The Celtics look beatable as their rotation depth has not performed well through three games. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown will always get their production in, but they need to be supplemented.
I’m backing the team that has started off the season 3-0 and will be playing this game at home.
Chicago Bulls @ Toronto Raptors, 7:30 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Under 212 (-110) at Caesars
This is a low total to take the under on, but I’m confident in it, considering that both of these teams pride themselves defensively. Chicago made some excellent additions this offseason by adding Nikola Vučević, Lonzo Ball, and Alex Caruso, who all play excellent defense.
The Bulls have limited opponents to just 94 points per game through three games, while the Raptors are averaging just over 97 points per game themselves.
I expect this game to be a defensive battle, and it should be low-scoring. I’m backing the under in this game.
New Orleans Pelicans @ Minnesota Timberwolves, 8:00 p.m. ET
Best Bet: Under 225.5 (-110) at Caesars
Facing off for the second consecutive time already in this young season, the Pelicans and Timberwolves present an interesting matchup. New Orleans has started the season ice-cold with an 0-3 record while Minnesota stands at 2-0, with one of those wins against these Pelicans.
Neither of these teams is particularly gifted on the offensive end, besides key pieces like Brandon Ingram and Karl-Anthony Towns. This was evident in their first matchup a couple of nights ago when the final score wound up at 96-89.
If these teams have a repeat defensive/offensive showing, expect the under to hit by a wide margin. Back the under and bet against these two offenses, making this my NBA bet of the day.
