Week 5 was one of the wildest weeks in NFL history. We saw more missed field goals than in any week in league history and a few incredible quarterback performances from players like Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Justin Herbert.
So which teams are going to rise the most in this week’s power rankings and which playoff hopefuls should you be concerned with after five games? Without further ado, here is the Week 6 Power Rankings!

NFL Power Rankings for Week 6
32. Jacksonville Jaguars (0-5) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: +3500
- Super Bowl Odds: +250000
Jacksonville was competitive in Week 5, but they still have major problems on defense. The good news is that Trevor Lawrence has looked much better over the last two weeks.
In those two games, Lawrence is averaging 8.37 yards per attempt and is creating big plays down the field. His development is the most important aspect of the season for the Jaguars, and he is getting better.
31. Houston Texans (1-4) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: +3500
- Super Bowl Odds: +200000
The Texans hung with the Patriots for most of that game on Sunday. In fact, you can say that they probably should have won it, as well.
Davis Mills had the best game of his career and this is a team that plays hard and competes. They aren’t a good football team right now, but you have to respect their effort.

30. Detroit Lions (0-5) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: +4000
- Super Bowl Odds: +250000
The Lions are still searching for their first win of the season after the Vikings made another long field goal to defeat them with no time left on the clock. With some better luck, the Lions could be 2-3 right now with wins over the Ravens and Vikings.
This is not a good team, but they are very competitive despite a lack of talent.
29. New York Jets (1-4) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: +3000
- Super Bowl Odds: +150000
After five games, the Jets have the No. 32 scoring offense. They have yet to have a game with more than 360 total yards of offense and have eclipsed 70 rushing yards just once.
The defense isn’t awful, but the offense has a long way to go before they are respectable.
28. Miami Dolphins (1-4) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: +280
- Super Bowl Odds: +20000
Miami might be one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this season. The defense has been completely exposed and the offense lacks explosive plays.
The Dolphins traded away their 2022 first-round pick for Jaylen Waddle and he really hasn’t made a big impact yet.
27. New York Giants (1-4) ⬇️ 1
- Playoffs Odds: +1600
- Super Bowl Odds: +50000
Injuries are starting to mount for the Giants and they just don’t have the talent to overcome them. However, Kadarius Toney looks like a star in the making for New York.
At least they have that going for them.
26. Atlanta Falcons (2-3) ⬆️ 1
- Playoffs Odds: +600
- Super Bowl Odds: +15000
It took until Week 5 for the Falcons to finally unleash Kyle Pitts. The No. 4 overall pick looked like an elite talent against the Jets, but now it’s time to make him a featured part of the game plan every week.
The Falcons don’t have a lot going for them right now, but Pitts looks like he is going to be an All-Pro sooner rather than later.
25. Philadelphia Eagles (2-3) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: +250
- Super Bowl Odds: +10000
The Eagles got an impressive win in Week 5 over the Panthers, as it was their defense that stepped up. Jalen Hurts needs to play better and be more consistent if they want to compete in the NFC East, but this is clearly a talented team that needs to start putting it all together.
24. Washington Football Team (2-3) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: +310
- Super Bowl Odds: +10000
Washington has spent an incredible amount of draft capital on their defense over the last half-decade, but that hasn’t seemed to matter. They have allowed the second-most points in the NFL through five weeks and have created just four takeaways.
Taylor Heinicke has been solid, but he did not play well in Week 5 against the Saints. Until the defense improves, the Washington Football Team is going to struggle to find wins.
23. Denver Broncos (3-2) ⬇️ 3
- Playoffs Odds: +135
- Super Bowl Odds: +6600
The Broncos have lost two straight games after starting the season off at 3-0. Something just feels off, as there is a noticeable lack of effort and urgency from everyone involved.
Could it be that all of the injuries are catching up with them? Or is it something else?
Either way, it’s hard to love what the Broncos are doing on either side of the ball right now.
22. Seattle Seahawks (2-3) ⬇️ 8
- Playoffs Odds: N/A
- Super Bowl Odds: +8000
The Seahawks will be without Russell Wilson for the next two months, which is obviously a major concern. However, the bigger concern is their defense, as they have allowed over 450 yards in four straight games.
Without Wilson, Seattle doesn’t stand much of a chance against most teams in the NFL.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers (2-3) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: +400
- Super Bowl Odds: +10000
The Steelers looked better on offense in Week 5 as Najee Harris recorded the first 100-yard rushing game of his career. Still, it’s hard to trust Ben Roethlisberger, who could have had 3+ interceptions against the Broncos.
Pittsburgh’s schedule gets easier over the next month, so don’t be surprised if they rattle off a few wins here.
20. Minnesota Vikings (2-3) ⬇️4
- Playoffs Odds: +200
- Super Bowl Odds: +5000
It took a 54-yard field goal with no time left for the Vikings to beat the Lions, but they did get the win.
Minnesota’s defense has played really well over the last three weeks, and it looks to be a legitimately good unit. However, the offense needs to be more consistent.
Until then, this is likely a team that will hang around .500 and not much more.
19. Indianapolis Colts (1-4) ⬆️ 3
- Playoffs Odds: N/A
- Super Bowl Odds: +10000
The Colts just can’t figure out how to close games. With some better kicking luck, Indianapolis could be 3-2 and tied atop of the AFC South. Instead, they have just one win.
The schedule does soften up a bit for Indianapolis, but they need to start stringing together wins if they want to make a playoff run. The good news is that Carson Wentz has played really well over the last two weeks, throwing for 630 yards and 4 touchdowns with no interceptions.
If he can continue to play at a high level, the Colts will have a chance.
18. Tennesee Titans (3-2) ⬆️ 2
- Playoffs Odds: -350
- Super Bowl Odds: +4000
In five games, Derrick Henry has averaged 128 rushing yards per game and has already scored 7 touchdowns. He’s playing the best football of his career, and the Titans are relying on him to carry the offense until the wide receivers get healthy.
The defense continues to be a problem, but it might not matter as the Titans have a comfortable two-game lead in the AFC South.
17. Las Vegas Raiders (3-2) ⬇️ 5
- Playoffs Odds: +225
- Super Bowl Odds: +8000
Jon Gruden is out, and the Raiders are now in real trouble despite a 3-0 start. The offensive line is falling apart, and Derek Carr isn’t playing as well as he did earlier this season.
With Gruden gone, how will the team react and perform on the field? A Week 6 battle against the Denver Broncos will likely tell us a lot about the future of this team.

16. Chicago Bears (3-2) ⬆️ 7
- Playoffs Odds: +310
- Super Bowl Odds: +15000
Justin Fields has improved in each of his three starts this season and the defense is starting to come around. Khalil Mack and Robert Quinn are among the best EDGE duos in the NFL, and if the offense can continue to run the ball, the Bears might have a shot to make a little run.
15. San Francisco 49ers (2-3) ⬇️ 4
- Playoffs Odds: +110
- Super Bowl Odds: +4000
Trey Lance didn’t look awful in his first start, but he’s now dealing with a knee injury. The team has a bye in Week 6, but it remains to be seen who will be the starting quarterback in Week 7.
The 49ers are talented, but they have to find a way to start winning some close games in order to be taken seriously as a Super Bowl contender.
14. Carolina Panthers (3-2) ⬇️ 1
- Playoffs Odds: +250
- Super Bowl Odds: +8000
After a 3-0 start, Sam Darnold is starting to look like the quarterback we saw during his time with the Jets. The defense continues to play lights out, but the hope is that Christian McCaffrey can help boost the offense once he returns.
Until then, it’s hard to get too excited about this team as a legit contender in the NFC.
13. New England Patriots (2-3) ⬆️ 4
- Playoffs Odds: +210
- Super Bowl Odds: +8000
It took a while, but the Patriots finally put away the Texans in Week 5. Now, they’ll take on the Dallas Cowboys in Week 6 at home. Mac Jones still looks like a competent quarterback, but he isn’t getting much help from his playmakers or offensive line.
The offense has to get better over the next few months if they want to make a run in the AFC.
12. Cincinnati Bengals (3-2) ⬆️ 3
- Playoffs Odds: +275
- Super Bowl Odds: +15000
Despite the Week 5 loss, there is a lot to be excited about with the Bengals. Ja’Marr Chase is a superstar and is already establishing himself as one of the top receivers in the NFL. Joe Burrow can play with any quarterback in the NFL ,and the defense isn’t that bad either.
They will face the Lions in Week 6 and if they want to be taken seriously as a contender in the AFC, they need to win that game with ease in Detroit.
11. New Orleans Saints (3-2) ⬆️ 7
- Playoffs Odds: -160
- Super Bowl Odds: +4000
It’s nearly impossible to get any type of feel for the Saints. They are the most Jekyll and Hyde team in the NFL. They are off this week on a bye, but the next two games should be revealing as they take on the Seahawks and the Buccaneers.
If this team can get healthy and return a few of their starting offensive linemen, they could be a dangerous Wild Card team in the NFC.
10. Kansas City Chiefs (2-3) ⬇️ 1
- Playoffs Odds: -350
- Super Bowl Odds: +750
It’s time to be concerned about the Kansas City Chiefs. The offense can put up points, but the defense gives them up even faster. Patrick Mahomes is still playing well, but any mistakes by him and the offense are proving to be extremely costly.
If the defense doesn’t improve in a hurry, the Chiefs might really struggle to make the playoffs in the AFC.
9. Cleveland Browns (3-2) ⬇️ 2
- Playoffs Odds: -300
- Super Bowl Odds: +1400
The Browns are 3-2, but could easily be 5-0 if they could figure out a way to close games. This is an explosive offense, but the defense just can’t get the stops when they need them.
Still, Cleveland is a good team that should have no problems making the playoffs.
Bet Tip: The Browns are (+150) to win the AFC North, and that feels low. Yes, the Ravens have one more win. But several of their wins have come on the last play of the game. Cleveland is the more well-balanced team and the odds are significantly more favorable to bettors.
8. Baltimore Ravens (4-1) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: N/A
- Super Bowl Odds: +1200
Something just feels special about this team. They’ve won three games now in which they were trailing by a significant amount entering the fourth quarter. And yet, Lamar Jackson and the Ravens just find a way to win.
Baltimore continues to lose players due to injuries left and right, but it hasn’t mattered. Up next is a battle with the Los Angeles Chargers on a short week.
7. Dallas Cowboys (4-1) ⬆️ 3
- Playoffs Odds: -800
- Super Bowl Odds: +1200
Since their Week 1 loss to the Buccaneers, the Cowboys have continued to look better and better each week. Dak Prescott is playing the best football of his career, and Trevon Diggs now has 9 interceptions in his last 10 games.
On top of that, they have an outstanding rushing attack with Ezekiel Elliott and Tony Pollard. This is a well-balanced team that is finally starting to play to their potential.
6. Los Angeles Chargers (4-1) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: -500
- Super Bowl Odds: +1400
No team is more fun to watch right now than the Los Angeles Chargers. Justin Herbert is a bonafide superstar and he is carrying this team to massive wins. Their aggressiveness combined with Herbert’s playmaking ability makes them a legitimate threat in the AFC.
Bet Tip: The Chargers are (+115) favorites to win the AFC West. They are the best team in the division, and with all of the problems the Raiders, Chiefs and Broncos have right now, they feel like a safe bet to win the division.
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (4-1) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: -1600
- Super Bowl Odds: +550
The Buccaneers looked like the defending Super Bowl champions in Week 5, destroying the Dolphins. That is exactly what a great team needs to do on the road.
The Buccaneers have some major issues on defense, but the offense is so good and efficient that it might not matter until the playoffs.
4. Green Bay Packers (4-1) ⬇️ 1
- Playoffs Odds: -650
- Super Bowl Odds: +1200
The Packers continue to live on the edge in some of these games, relying on Mason Crosby to win them with a kick. That should have come back to bite them in Week 5, but to his credit, he did make the kick in overtime.
The Packers are 4-1, but we still aren’t quite sure just how good they are right now. But with Aaron Rodgers playing this well, it’s hard to rank them much lower.
3. Los Angeles Rams (4-1) ⬆️ 1
- Playoffs Odds: -800
- Super Bowl Odds: +800
The Rams bounced back in Week 5, getting a much-needed win over the Seahawks. However, that was with Russell Wilson being injured in the second half.
Still, Matthew Stafford was phenomenal again as the Rams have the look of a legitimate Super Bowl contender in the NFC.
2. Buffalo Bills (4-1) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: -3000
- Super Bowl Odds: +600
A convincing win against the Chiefs in Kansas City cemented the Bills as the best team in the AFC. In fact, you can make a really strong case that this is the best team in the league.
While the odds don’t necessarily reflect it, the Bills should be the current favorite to win the Super Bowl.
1. Arizona Cardinals (5-0) ↔️
- Playoffs Odds: -1100
- Super Bowl Odds: +1200
Until the Cardinals lose, how can you put anyone else at No. 1? The Cardinals are playing complementary football and Kyler Murray continues to look like a legit MVP candidate.
Arizona’s back-to-back wins against NFC West opponents were highly impressive. Believe it or not, the Cardinals are a Super Bowl contender this year.
