MLB Betting Props of the Day: Best Baseball Prop Picks Today 5/28/21

Randy Dobnak, Minnesota Twins vs. Kansas City Royals (8:10 p.m. ET)

Over 3.5 strikeouts (-125)

Wager: 1 unit

Dobnak may not seem like an obvious choice, but he’s coming off 6 shutout innings against the Indians in his last start and gets a cushy home date here with the light-hitting Royals. Kansas City ranks near the bottom of the AL in most offensive categories and has struggled to put points on the board lately, averaging just 3.63 runs per game in May. The Royals have had a tough time on the road as well, averaging 3.57 runs per game away from home and ranking third-to-last in road wRC+ (77).

Given Kansas City’s offensive woes, Dobnak should be able to go at least 5 innings tonight, giving him a great chance to exceed 4 strikeouts.

Sean Manaea, Oakland Athletics vs. Los Angeles Angels (9:40 p.m. ET)

Over 5.5 Strikeouts (+110)

Wager: 1 unit

Manaea is looking to put together another strong start against the Angels after allowing 1 run and striking out 6 over 5 innings against them in his most recent start. The Oakland lefty will face them at home this time around, where he’s pitched significantly better throughout his career:

  • Home: 3.63 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, 7.7 K/9, .673 OPS against
  • Away: 4.14 ERA, 1.29 WHIP, 7.3 K/9, .745 OPS against

Los Angeles has struggled on the road this year, averaging just 3.65 runs per game and ranking 20th in wRC+ (87). Manaea has gone over 5.5 strikeouts in five of his last eight starts, and this is a great spot for him to hit the over again.
