Outlast Daily Fantasy Sports Hands-on Review

Outlast was created in 2021 by former NFL player Brenton Bersin and a group of investors. Their goal is to develop a platform that caters to the needs of more casual players. They want to remove the disadvantages inherent in daily fantasy sports (DFS), such as competing against others who are running 150 lineups through optimizers and projections.

Players have the option to compete against themselves rather than other seasoned veterans at Outlast. If they want to enter a tournament with other players, they are free to do so as well. The ability to make this choice helps make Outlast an appealing platform for both beginners and experienced users.

Another thing that immediately stands out about Outlast is its welcome bonus. Most DFS platforms don’t offer much in their new player promos, but you’ll find one of the more lucrative bonuses here. This is a great way to start off your DFS venture, so be sure to take advantage.

While Outlast is currently limited in sports and contest selection, this is an operator still in its early stages of development, so we can project growth in the foreseeable future.

How Does Outlast Daily Fantasy Sports Work?

The main premise of DFS is that your contest is settled after that day’s slate of games, as opposed to traditional fantasy sports leagues that are concluded at the end of the season.

Outlast currently features three types of contests: Over/Under, Survivor Pool, and Purse. Players compete against themselves in the Over/Under format. Those wishing to go against other users can join Survivor Pool. Purse is a golf-specific contest where users can customize their own leagues and face off against their friends. We’ll get into more details about each game later in the article.

Each of these contests is divided into different games, some are smaller fields while others have dozens of entries. The payout structure varies depending on the entry fee and how many players have joined.

The main difference with Outlast compared to other DFS platforms is that it shifts away from the traditional method, where each player is given a dollar figure and you must build a lineup that stays within the salary cap, to a focus on player props.

Is Outlast Daily Fantasy Sports Legit?

Outlast is a legit and legal daily fantasy sports platform. You can feel comfortable depositing funds into a growing brand that has innovative contests that cater to more casual players.

The site has a “Responsible Play" section, where players can engage in self-exclusion to ensure that there are safeguards in place. It’s an operator dedicated to optimizing the user experience.

Can You Win Real Money Playing at Outlast Daily Fantasy Sports?

You can win real money, you just need to make sure that you’re playing within the borders of a state where DFS is legal and Outlast is operational.

Outlast Daily Fantasy Sports Signup Bonus

To unlock the Outlast signup bonus, simply click one of our “Get Bonus" links to take you to the landing page, where you can register for an account and enjoy your new-player offer.

No-Deposit Bonus

A no-deposit bonus is when you receive site credits (termed as “extra points" at Outlast) just for signing up for an account. There is no need to fund your account in order to access this offer.

Outlast is currently not offering a no-deposit bonus, but there is a referral promo. Users who get a friend to join and make a deposit will receive $25 in extra points. Your friend will get the bonus as well!

Deposit Bonus

Deposit bonuses are when a DFS platform matches your first deposit up to a maximum amount.

Outlast is currently offering a 100% deposit bonus, capped at $200. The extra points are immediately credited to your account and can be used on wagers. There is a 1x playthrough requirement before you are able to withdraw your funds.

For example, if I deposit $200, I would then have $400 in my account ($200 in cash, $200 in extra points). From there, I’d need to rack up $200 in cumulative wagers before I can make a withdrawal. This is a low requirement that really sets Outlast apart from the competition.

Outlast Daily Fantasy Sports Promotions

Outlast DFS doesn’t have many promotions, but they do have free play vouchers you can get as an existing player.

My Outlast Daily Fantasy Sports App Experience

Outlast has a mobile app available for both Android and iOS devices. Simply go to Apple Store or Google Play and download the app to enjoy daily fantasy sports on your mobile device. Make sure that you have given the app access to your location.

The app has an organized layout, making it easy to find your preferred sport or contest. You’re able to filter your search by various categories such as entry fee, contest, pool size, and pay structure. This was a major positive because part of the appeal of mobile apps is their convenience, so finding information quickly is imperative.

The background has an orange and black trim that gives it a sleek aesthetic. I had no problems with lagging or crashing, as the app was able to function at a high level.

Overall, I was pleased with the app because of its convenience, accessibility, and functionality.

Should You Play at Outlast Daily Fantasy Sports?

You should definitely play at Outlast DFS, whether you’re a beginner or an experienced player. The app is easy to use and you won’t have to worry about competing against sharks with projections and optimizers.

If you do like to face off against other players, Outlast has you covered with its Survivor Pool contest. Having the choice between both options is a big plus for this platform.

The welcome bonus is one of the best in the DFS industry with a 100% deposit bonus of up to $200. The 1x playthrough requirement is the most enticing aspect of this offer, as you don’t need to wager much in order to withdraw your funds.

The Purse game is a cool addition to golf DFS that helps make Outlast a terrific choice. It’s cool to be able to create your own golf pools based on the cumulative winnings of each of your selections. This helps add another dimension to Outlast that you won’t find at other sites.

Seeing how the site already has a golf-specific game, we can expect more of the same for other sports, which bodes well for the future.

While the sports and contest selection is currently limited, that should grow in the near future as the app continues to gain popularity and emerge in new states across the country.

Join Outlast today for another cool DFS site that makes it easier and more enjoyable for each type of player.

Games You Can Play

There are three contests to play at Outlast, such as:

Over/Under

Choose your sport and preferred games that night. You’ll find projected stats for each player, where you’ll select “Over" or “Under." For example, Joe Burrow Over 265.5 Passing Yards.

You need to start a winning streak of at least three games before you can rack up profit. From there, you can choose to keep playing or enjoy your winnings.

The longer your streak, the more money you’ll make, with a maximum of seven wins in a row for a 50x reward. If you play all seven games at once and hit each one, you’ll win 80x your entry.

Survivor Pool

Pick your contest based on the entry fee and player pool. Choose the “Over" or “Under" on two players on that day. If you get both correct, you advance to the next round, but if one or both are wrong, you are eliminated. The contest continues until one player is remaining.

There are three different payout options: Winner-Take-All (only first-place wins money), 50/50 Winner Takes Most (top half doubles their entry, first gets the highest reward), and Tiered (payouts vary in descending order).

Purse

This is a contest focused on golf, where you choose 10 players to finish at the top of the leaderboard in a given tournament. Once the competition is finished, each of your players’ purse (cash winnings) will be added up and the player with the most in total dollars wins the contest.

You’ll be able to host your own pools, where you’re able to set up the entry fee and player size. It’s a cool option because it’s so customizable and it’s unique to Outlast. It can be tough to choose a winning golfer, so this is a more intriguing setup with the cumulative purses for each of your selections.

Rewards System

Outlast does not currently have a rewards system, but we can surely expect that to change as the platform continues to develop.

Outlast offers customer service on the following platforms:

  • E-Mail: Submit a form outlining your area of concern
  • Live Chat: Speak to a representative for the most efficient resolution
  • Phone: 843-806-2708

Does Outlast Have An Online Sportsbook?

Outlast is a platform that focuses on daily fantasy sports. There is no online sportsbook at this time, but if the site continues to expand, we could eventually see it include a sports betting component as well.

We’ve seen other DFS sites like FanDuel and DraftKings go this route due to their success, so we can’t dismiss the possibility for Outlast as well.
