Best Raptors Betting Lines 2023
The 2021-22 season was an interesting one for the Toronto Raptors. Expectations were extremely low, as the team had just come off a 27-win season, which granted them the No. 4 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft.
With nothing to lose, the Raptors went out and won 48 games this past season, which saw them earn the five seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. They were bounced in the first round by the 76ers, but it was an impressive campaign nonetheless.
Now, Toronto will enter the year as something of an in-between playoff contender. They should qualify for the postseason with ease, but they’re clearly still a big piece away from competing for an NBA title. Perhaps they could make a big in-season trade?
Let’s take a closer look at the Raptors betting odds for the 2022-23 NBA season.

Raptors NBA Finals Odds
Raptors Win 2023 NBA Finals (+4200)
Until the Raptors add another All-Star to the mix, I struggle to see how they can directly compete with the likes of the Celtics and Warriors for an NBA title.
They have a great core to build around between Pascal Siakam, Fred VanVleet, Scottie Barnes, and OG Anunoby, but there’s a reason why they haven’t truly been in the Finals conversation since Kawhi Leonard (and Kyle Lowry, to a lesser degree) left town.
Raptors Eastern Conference Odds
Raptors Win Eastern Conference (+2100)
An NBA title probably isn’t in the cards for this team, nor is a trip to the Finals. The Eastern Conference is full of top-tier contenders, including the Celtics, Nets, Bucks, Heat, and 76ers. On paper, the Raptors aren’t better than any of those teams.
They’ll be a tough out in the playoffs, but I don’t see them advancing beyond the second round.
Raptors Atlantic Division Odds
Raptors Win Atlantic Division (+900)
The Raptors would be a legitimate contender in this category if they played in virtually any other division in the NBA. Unfortunately for them, they’re stuck in the Atlantic with the Celtics, Nets, and 76ers.
This division will be far too competitive for Toronto to win. I don’t think a third-place finish is out of the question, and they’ll certainly finish above the Knicks, but that’s about all I’m willing to give them at this point.
Raptors Make Playoffs Odds
Raptors Make the Playoffs (-230)
The Eastern Conference got tougher this offseason, with teams like the Cavaliers and Hawks making moves to bolster their respective rosters and compete for an NBA title. This is genuinely a very deep race, but I still like the Raptors to make it in.
I envision this team finishing somewhere in the 5-7 range, likely ahead of the Hawks but below the Celtics, Nets, Cavs, Heat, and Bucks.
The (+184) odds on them to miss the playoffs are intriguing, but this team is too talented to slip that far behind the rest of the East.
Raptors Win Total Bets 2023
Raptors UNDER 46.5 Wins (-110)
The Raptors didn’t make significant improvements this offseason — at least, not in the same way that their Eastern Conference rivals did. There weren’t many splashy signings, nor was there a significant trade.
Instead, Toronto got another year older, meaning its young talent should come back even stronger and better next season.
Time will tell if that’s enough for this team to make the leap, but for now, I’m riding the Under on their regular-season win total.
Raptors Prop Bets 2023
Scottie Barnes Wins Most Improved Player (+3300)
Barnes burst onto the scene in 2021-22, winning the Rookie of the Year award after coming out on top in a tight race with Cavs phenom Evan Mobley. Barnes was more than effective on both ends of the court, averaging 15.3 points, 7.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.1 steals per game.
As a candidate in the Most Improved Player race for 2022-23, Barnes has a cut-and-dry assignment: He must improve across the board and become an All-Star.
I don’t think it’s out of the question for Barnes to do this, especially since Toronto was more than willing to give him a substantial role as a rookie — one that he proved early on he could handle. But there are other, more qualified candidates in the field, which is why Barnes comes in as a 33-1 longshot.
How to Bet Raptors Moneylines
If you’re new to NBA betting, starting with moneylines is a great plan. These are the most straightforward wagers to understand, although they’re not just for beginners.
With this type of bet, you’ll be choosing which team you think will win the game. If you pick a team’s moneyline and they go on to win the game, you’d win your bet. Easy enough, right?
A team’s moneyline odds will vary on a per-game basis and change depending upon their opponent. For example, the Raptors might have (-140) odds against the Knicks. The minus symbol indicates that Toronto is the favorite. However, if they have (+180) odds against the Celtics, then the plus symbol shows that they’re the underdog.
In the Knicks example, a $14 bet on the Raptors’ moneyline would win you $10. However, in the Celtics example, a $10 bet on the Raptors’ moneyline would net you $18. Betting on underdogs gives you a greater potential payout, but these teams generally don’t win as often as favorites do.

How to Bet Raptors Spreads
Spread betting takes moneylines a step further by adding a margin of victory into the equation. Unlike moneylines, both spread options will generally carry identical (-110) odds, because sportsbooks see these as equally likely outcomes.
For example, if the Raptors are playing the Knicks, they might be an 8-point favorite. At a sportsbook, this would look something like this: Knicks +8 (-110) at Raptors -8 (-110).
In this scenario, the Raptors would need to win the game by nine points or more to cover the spread. However, if the Knicks win outright or lose by less than eight points, then New York would cover the spread. Should the game be decided by exactly eight points, you would get your bet amount returned to you.
- 2021-22 Raptors Against the Spread Record: 46-35-1
How to Bet Raptors Over/Unders
Have a feeling that a game is going to be especially high- or low-scoring? Consider betting the Over/Under, where you can make good money for choosing how many points will be notched in a matchup.
Against the Knicks, the Over/Under might be set at 224.5 points. This means that oddsmakers are anticipating that roughly 224.5 points will be scored in the game. If you choose the Over, you’re saying that 225+ total points will be scored. Alternatively, choosing the Under means you think less than 224 points will be scored.
