The Los Angeles Rams (5-11) hit the road to face the Seattle Seahawks (8-8) in a Week 18 NFC West matchup.
Los Angeles has already been eliminated from the playoffs. However, Seattle is still fighting for the last NFC playoff spot.
Geno Smith and the Seahawks will need to win this week to remain alive, but they’ll also need the Lions to either tie or lose to the Packers. If the Seahawks and Lions both win, the Seahawks win the tiebreaker, thanks to their win over Detroit earlier this year.
Needless to say, the Seahawks have everything to play for this week. The Rams, meanwhile, probably wouldn’t mind spoiling their division rival’s chances of advancing to the postseason.
This game kicks off at 4:35 p.m. EST on Sunday, and the Packers-Lions game is the Sunday Night Football game. So, even if the Seahawks win, they’ll have to wait until Sunday evening to see what their fate is.

The Seahawks opened as three-point favorites, and the line has only moved further in their direction as of Tuesday morning at Caesars Sportsbook. They are now 6.5-point favorites, which makes sense since the game is in Seattle and these two teams have been moving in opposite directions all year.

Geno Smith and the Seattle offense have shown some serious firepower this year, scoring 30 or more points in five of their 16 games. Smith has gone above and beyond what anyone expected, Tyler Lockett is continuing to produce at 30 years old, and DK Metcalf is a rising star at the wide receiver position.
Seattle will come out swinging in this one, and I expect they’ll get out to an early lead over Baker Mayfield and the Rams. Still, if there’s one player who has everything to play for this week for the Rams, it’s Mayfield.
Matthew Stafford is out with a neck injury, but he’s signed through 2026 with Los Angeles. Mayfield has shown signs of life since landing with the Rams, and now he needs to prove to an NFL team that he can be a starter somewhere next year.
Overall, I’m predicting the Seahawks to win this one by at least a touchdown.

I’m fully expecting the Seahawks to win this game as they’re the better team and have everything to play for.
The Rams have been riddled with injuries this year, and while I don’t think they’ll win, I do believe they’ll compete. Still, I don’t see them slowing down the Seattle offense completely and predict the Seahawks to win by 10 points.
Taking them to cover by at least a touchdown is a solid bet. If this spread gets to 7.5 or higher, I’d drop it down to 0.5 Units.

The Rams are near the bottom of the NFL in scoring at just 18.2 points per game. However, over the last three games, the Rams, oddly enough, are also averaging 24.3 points.
This Rams defense has struggled this year and gives up plenty of production to opposing wide receivers and running backs, but their offense has stepped up lately.
I expect the Rams to put up some points, but I believe they’ll come late in the game when it’s too little, too late.
