Rams vs Packers Predictions & Best Bets

Last Updated: Oct 31, 2023

This is a clash between two teams who have been trending in the wrong direction after starting the 2023 season strong. To make matters worse, the Los Angeles Rams are expected to be without their starting quarterback Matthew Stafford, who suffered a UCL sprain in his right thumb.

Can Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers take advantage of a Rams team that won’t have their franchise signal-caller under center to get back on track? After starting the season 2-1, the Packers have lost four straight games.

Rams vs Packers Odds

NFL odds used for this Los Angeles vs Green Bay preview were found at FanDuel Sportsbook and are current as of Tuesday, Oct. 31, at noon ET.

  • Moneyline: Packers (-166) • Rams (+140)
  • Spread: Packers -3 (-120) • Rams +3 (-102)
  • Total Points: Over 39.5 (-110) • Under 39.5 (-110)
  • Implied Score: Packers 21.5, Rams 17.5

Rams vs Packers Predictions

Score Pick: Packers 23, Rams 16

Without Stafford, points are going to be tough to come by for the Rams. Running back Kyren Williams’ extended absence has also made it difficult for the Rams to run the ball with any success. The Rams defense has struggled over the last two weeks, allowing 33.5 points per game in that span.

The Rams traveling to Green Bay without their starting quarterback and running back to play outdoors at Lambeau Field will be a difficult adjustment for a warm-weather team that plays in an indoor stadium. Expect the Packers to capitalize on the opportunity and get back on track with a much-needed victory over the Rams.

Rams vs Packers Best Bets & Props

Packers -3 (-120)

FanDuel Sportsbook • WAGER: 2 Units

This is a prime get-right opportunity for the Packers against a Rams team that has lost two straight games and is without their starting quarterback. To make matters worse, the Rams defense just gave up 43 points to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 8.

In other words, the Rams are as vulnerable an opponent as you can get in the NFL right now. Packers Pro Bowl running back Aaron Jones has struggled since his return from a hamstring injury, but the Rams rank 20th in opponent rushing yards per game (115.1).

Expect the Packers to lean on Jones, AJ Dillon, and the run game to guide them to victory, making this my NFL bet of the day.

Rams Under 17.5 (-110)

FanDuel Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit

The Rams have scored 17 points or fewer in three of their last six games, and that was with Stafford at the helm. Now, the Rams will be tasked with trying to score points with backup quarterback Brett Rypien under center.

Packers linebacker Rashan Gary will be eager to make an impact in this game after inking a four-year, $107 million contract extension to remain with the Packers. With that in mind, it could be a long day for Rypien and the Rams offense.

Rams 1H Winner / Packers End of Regulation Winner (+700)

FanDuel Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.5 Units

Slow starts have been an issue that has plagued the Packers all season long. They have been trailing at halftime in each of their past five games.

Rams head coach Sean McVay will be prepared with a well-designed game script to help the Rams stay afloat early and maintain a first-half lead.

Alas, it will be all for naught when Love and the Packers complete the comeback in the second half to emerge victorious.

Rams vs Packers Same Game Parlay

Rams vs Packers SGP (+110)

FanDuel Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.5 units

  • Packers (-166)
  • Rams Under 17.5 (-110)

Per Odds Shark, the Rams are 2-10 in their last 12 games against NFC opponents and 1-8 in their last nine games against the Packers. Additionally, the Packers have fared well against the NFC West in recent meetings, having won seven of their last eight games against NFC West opponents.

This has the makings of an ugly, low-scoring game, which bodes well for the Packers. They aren’t equipped to get into shootouts with their opponents, and the defense will put up a good fight to prevent that from happening against Rypien and the Rams.
