Eagles vs Jets Predictions & Best Bets

Last Updated: Oct 10, 2023

The Philadelphia Eagles will look to maintain their perfect start when they visit the New York Jets in Week 6.

Philadelphia is coming off a 23-14 victory over the Rams to improve to 5-0, while New York edged Denver 31-21 to move to 2-3.

Let’s take a closer look at what to expect while diving into our predictions and best bets.

Eagles vs Jets Odds

NFL odds used for this Philadelphia vs New York preview were found at DraftKings Sportsbook and are current as of Tuesday, Oct. 10, at 10:30 a.m. ET.

  • Moneyline: Eagles (-290) • Jets (+235)
  • Spread: Eagles -7 (-105) • Jets +7 (-115)
  • Total Points: Over 42 (-110) • Under 42 (-110)
  • Implied Score: Eagles 24.5, Jets 17.5

Eagles vs Jets Predictions

Score Pick: Eagles 23, Jets 17

It still doesn’t seem as if the Eagles have kicked it into gear, yet they’re one of two undefeated teams remaining. Regardless of when that happens, it’s clear the Eagles are what most expected them to be: a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

The Jets, on the other hand, aren’t there yet. Aaron Rodgers‘ injury crippled those plans.

Their defense and run game are playoff caliber, but it’s hard to trust Zach Wilson to be more than just a game manager. Turnovers (five interceptions in five games) remain a problem for the former first rounder.

New York will keep this competitive, but the Eagles simply have too many playmakers for which to account.

Eagles vs Jets Best Bets & Props

Jets +7 (-115)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit

The Jets have kept things competitive with their defense, but Wilson’s inconsistency and their inability to produce big plays through the air are hard to overcome. That’s especially true against an elite team like Philadelphia.

The Eagles are producing 404.4 yards per game (second-most in the NFL) with Jalen Hurts.

This isn’t a layup by any means. However, I trust the Eagles (10-1 SU in their last 11 road games) to do enough to hold off New York for my NFL bet of the day.

Under 42 (-110)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit

These teams have two of the better defenses in the league. New York is allowing 21 points per game, and Jeff Ulbrich will bring pressure against Hurts.

The Jets picked off Josh Allen three times and Patrick Mahomes twice.

While Philadelphia’s been susceptible to big passing plays, it boasts the NFL’s best run defense (61.2 yards allowed per game) and a ferocious pass rush. That’ll be problematic for the Jets, who just lost their best lineman in Alijah Vera-Tucker to a torn Achilles.

Look for this to stay Under 42 total points.

Jets Point Band 11-20 (+120)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit

Despite hitting double digits in all five games, the Jets have scored more than 20 points just twice. While Philadelphia’s allowed an average of 20.8 points, the Jets could play this conservatively to help Wilson cut down on the mistakes.

Although 0-10 offers better odds at +240, this seems like the safer play given recent trends.

Eagles vs Jets Same Game Parlay

Eagles vs Jets SGP (+480)

DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 Unit

  • Jets +8.5 (-145)
  • Under 44 (-176)
  • Eagles 1H (-175)

The Eagles have covered in all three road games and are 3-1-1 ATS overall, but four of their wins have been by single digits. While the Jets are talented enough defensively to stay within striking distance, Wilson can’t be trusted to outplay Hurts.

Teasing up the total makes this parlay more likely to hit. Plus, taking the Eagles to lead at halftime, which they’ve done four times already, juices the price.
