The Los Angeles Rams will be traveling to face the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4, hoping to right the ship after losing their last two games. The Colts are coming off an impressive road victory against the Baltimore Ravens with backup quarterback Gardner Minshew under center. The Colts have won two consecutive games and will look to keep the good times rolling against a reeling Rams team.

Rams vs Colts Predictions
Score Pick: Rams 27, Colts 19
Colts rookie quarterback Anthony Richardson returned to practice this week after sitting out last week due to a concussion. As of this writing, Richardson hasn’t cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol but is trending in the right direction. With that said, we will be operating as if Richardson will suit up for the Colts on Sunday.
After a down 2022 season, Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford has looked more like the Super Bowl-winning signal-caller he was in 2021. He’s currently fourth in the NFL in passing yards (910) and facing a young Colts secondary that has been torched by opponents this season, ranking in the bottom 10 in terms of opponent passing yards per game.
Rams head coach Sean McVay and Stafford should have their way against an inexperienced Colts secondary.
Rams vs Colts Best Bets & Props
Rams Over 2.5 Touchdowns (-120)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 2 units
Given the Colts’ secondary woes, Stafford and the Rams offense should have little to no problems moving the ball down the field and exposing the Colts through the air. Stafford can potentially exceed two-and-half touchdowns on his own in a very friendly matchup.
Through the season’s first three games, the Rams have averaged 23 points per game. If they can reach/eclipse the 23-point threshold, they will likely score more than two touchdowns in the process, making this my NFL bet of the day.
Rams +1.5 (-110)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit
After dropping their last two games, the Rams enter this game with a sense of urgency to get back to .500 and avoid a potential three-game divisional gap between them and the San Francisco 49ers for first place in the NFC West.
Stafford and McVay are light years ahead of Colts rookie head coach Shane Steichen and quarterback Anthony Richardson in terms of NFL experience, which should give them the upper hand in a game that is expected to be closely contested.
Rams receivers Puka Nacua and Tutu Atwell have emerged as legitimate threats with big-play ability, and the Colts secondary will have a tough time staying in front of them.
It wouldn’t be shocking to see the Rams win outright, but take the points to be safe.
Over 3.5 Fields Goals Made (+115)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 0.5 units
Colts kicker Matt Gay exceeded this total on his own in the Colts Week 3 win over the Ravens, successfully connecting on all five of his field goal attempts. Additionally, Rams kicker Brett Maher has made exactly three field goals in every game this season.
The Rams have the second-lowest opponent third down conversion percentage (25.71%). If the Colts can move the ball on a vulnerable Rams defense that bends but doesn’t break, there could be plenty of field goal attempts for Gay.
Rams vs Colts Same Game Parlay
Rams vs Colts SGP (+130)
DraftKings Sportsbook • WAGER: 1 unit
- Rams Over 21.5 (-140)
- Rams +1.5 (-115)
Given the Rams offensive production through three games thus far and the secondary concerns of the Colts, Stafford and the Rams should have no issues clearing this point total.
The Rams have covered the spread in six of their last nine games when they face the Colts and six of their last nine games in general. They’ve also won seven of the last 10 meetings against the Colts outright, making this an easy parlay to feel good about heading into Sunday.
