Wild-Card Weekend Parlay: 5 or 6 steps to big win?

Last Updated: Jan 10, 2021

Wild-Card Weekend Parlay: We took all the Best Bets from our Wild-Card Playoff Bet tips, predictions, and picks articles from Anthony Cervino and Pauly Parlays on PointsBet.

We then created a 5-leg parlay (plus options for a 6th, depending on the situation in one game).

A winning $25 bet on this foundational 5-leg parlay would pay $480.88.

Wild-Card Weekend Parlay

Colts-Bills Over 51 (-115)

This Colts-Bills matchup features two teams that can both score points and play defense. While the Colts and Bills have played well defensively this season, they have also been exploited.

Once a top-end unit, the Colts finished 2020 surrendering the 11th fewest points per game (22.6) while the Bills have been suspect more times than not, yielding the 16th fewest PPG (23.4).

Sure, Buffalo’s defense picked it up in the second half, but in their first 10 games, they have given up 28+ points five times, including four games allowing 32+ to the Titans, Cardinals, Seahawks, and Rams.

Buccaneers -8 (-110)

While the Buccaneers and the Football Team matchup up well defensively, Tampa Bay easily has the edge offensively. The Buccaneers gave up the eighth fewest points per game (22.2) this season while the Football Team allowed the fourth-fewest (20.6)

On the offensive side of the ball, the Buccaneers scored the third-most PPG (30.8) while the Football Team scored the eighth fewest PPG (20.9).

It also does not help Washington’s cause that their top offensive players — Alex Smith, Terry McLaurin, Antonio Gibson, and Brandon Scherff are injured. While they are all expected to play, Smith may be platooned with Taylor Heinicke if the regular starter does not look right in the game or leading up to it.

Baltimore Ravens (-180)

I fully understand that Lamar Jackson has never won in the playoffs. He’s 1-2 in his career against the Titans, losing each of his past two games, including last year’s postseason tilt that sent Baltimore packing.

However, this will be the game in which the all-purpose signal-caller breaks the slide.

Although the Titans have won each of their past two games, including a 30-24 overtime victory in the regular season, this is a different Ravens team since that Week 11 encounter. The Ravens have found the explosive running back they have been missing in rookie J.K. Dobbins while Jackson is peaking and playing at an MVP level since his return from a one-game stint on the COVID list back in Week 12.

Since Week 13, Jackson’s first game back, the Ravens are playing like they are the best team in football again. I could not say that for most of the regular season.

Saints -10 (-110)

The Saints’ average margin of victory in the 14 games they were a favorite this season was 8.1 points. Their average margin of victory at home was 6.9 PPG. These numbers would likely be even larger if the Brees hadn’t missed four games from Week 11 to 14. The QB led the Saints to impressive wins each of the last two weeks, by an average margin of victory of 22.5. If New Orleans can evan halve that, they’ll cover the spread on Wild-Card Weekend.

Steelers -6 (-110)

As I had mentioned above, the Browns will enter this game shorthanded, which undoubtedly fuels my Browns-Steelers picks.

Head coach and offensive play-caller Kevin Stefanski and all-world OG Joel Bitonio are both out for this game as they are on the reserve/ COVID list.

Both of those losses will prove to be significant for the Browns.

If you want a more conservative play to add a sixth leg from Rams-Seahawks, go with this pick that’ll pay $733.82 on a $25 bet.

Seahawks (-200)

This is a smart bet whether Jared Goff plays or not.

If you have time to wait for a 6th step of the parlay with more upside that would pay $940.77:

Seahawks -4 (-110)

If Goff is inactive and you can still bet this, run to make it.
