Week 17 NFL Betting Trends and Week 17 Bet Stats: We made it! Week 17 is here and it should be a wild week with so many teams trying to make the playoffs or fight for seeding. To get you ready for the busy week ahead, here are the five Week 17 Bet Stats for football wagers you need to know before placing your favorite bets.
Week 17 NFL Betting Trends
1. The Cowboys have won 7 straight games against the Giants.
Somehow, someway, the Dallas Cowboys have managed to find themselves in a meaningful Week 17 game. With a win and a Washington Football Team loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Cowboys will host a playoff game next weekend.
Standing in their way are the New York Giants, who will have the same opportunity as the Cowboys in the Wild Card round of the playoffs.
Dallas has had a ton of success recently against New York, having won seven straight of those games. But all of those games had Dak Prescott under center for the Cowboys. Can Andy Dalton win on the road in January at the Meadowlands? That remains to be seen, but this is a franchise that has shown that they aren’t afraid of the Giants.
2. The Ravens have covered the spread in 5 straight games.
The Baltimore Ravens are finally starting to look like the team we saw during 2019. They are averaging 37 points over the last month and have now covered the spread in five-straight games. Their last loss came in Week 12 as they narrowly lost to the Steelers despite missing several starters on offense and defense, including quarterback Lamar Jackson.

In Week 17, the Ravens will take on the Bengals, and with a win, they will make the playoffs. Baltimore is a double-digit favorite in this game, and that is notable considering they have now covered in five-straight games.
Can they cover for a sixth-straight game against a Bengals’ team that has now won in back-to-back weeks? If Baltimore can, they will be one of the hottest teams entering the playoffs with an MVP at quarterback and a veteran defense. Look out, AFC…
3. Aaron Rodgers has won 20 of 25 career games against the Bears.
One of the more meaningful games of the weekend features a classic rivalry between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.
The Packers need to win this game to secure the No. 1 seed, and the Bears need a victory to make the playoffs. However, this game might feel a little anticlimactic given how dominant Aaron Rodgers has been against the Bears in his career.

Including the playoffs, Rodgers’ Packers has a record of 20-5 when the former MVP quarterback suits up against the Bears. He has a career passing rating of 105.3 against Chicago, throwing 51 touchdowns to just 10 interceptions.
With Rodgers playing at an MVP level once again and a first-round bye in sight, don’t be surprised if this game isn’t all that competitive.
4. The Saints have covered the spread in 6 of their last 7 games against NFC South opponents.
One of the teams that are hoping the Bears upset the Packers are the New Orleans Saints. With a win on Sunday and a Packers’ loss, the Saints can retake the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
But to do so, they will need to defeat the Carolina Panthers on the road in Week 17.
The Saints have been excellent against divisional opponents this season, going 5-0. But what is more impressive is that they have now covered the spread in six of their last seven games against NFC South opponents. With the Saints being 6.5-7 point favorites in this game, it’s not so much a matter if New Orleans will win, but by how much.
Given their recent success against the division, expect them to win by double-digits in this contest.

5. Washington has won just 3 of its last 15 games against NFC East opponents.
The Washington Football Team is only one win away from making the postseason for the first time since 2015. All they have to do is beat the 4-10-1 Eagles in Philadelphia on Sunday Night Football on NBC. For Washington to make the playoffs, they will need to have success against a division-rival and that’s not something they’ve done a lot over the last three seasons.
Washington has now lost 12 of their last 15 games against NFC East opponents, with all three wins coming in 2020. They beat the Eagles in Week 1 and then the Dallas Cowboys twice earlier in the year. But given their lack of offensive firepower and quarterback questions, this has all the makings of their third divisional loss of the season.
Can Washington find a way to finish the season 4-2 in the NFC East? The answer will be the deciding factor in whether their season was a success or not.
