DomiNate the Waiver Wire for Week 15

You have made it through the first round of the fantasy football playoffs! It’s time to begin playing weekly matchups. All the names listed in this article are players that are trending up and/or have favorable matchups to get you through Week 15, and/or have a great Championship Week (Week 16) matchup. It’s essential to be thinking ahead should you advance this week.

Evaluate the production of the players on your current roster and don’t be afraid to drop a big name. Especially if they haven’t been performing and have terrible defensive matchups in the next two weeks. This is the time to be picky with who you roster and set the best lineup to win. Often times, your championship team will look much different than the one you drafted.

Use this article to help you and good luck on your waiver wire this week!

(Note: Roster % is as listed for Yahoo! leagues. FAAB bid range is based on a $100 budget.)

Week 15 Waiver Wire Fantasy Football Pickups

Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, Green Bay Packers (20%)

Marquez Valdes-Scantling has been frustrating for fantasy football team managers. He appeared to catch fire in Weeks 9 and 10 but then fell into non-existence in weeks 12 and 13.

Regardless of his ups and downs, MVS has been a decent fantasy option in four of the last six weeks. He doesn’t have the best matchup in Week 15 against the Panthers, who give up the sixth-lowest fantasy points average to wide receivers.

On the other hand, he does have a tasty Championship Week matchup against the Tennessee Titans, who have given up the 4th-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers.

If MVS is going to have another big week this season, his chances look good for Week 16.

Marquez Valdes-Scantling FAAB bid range: $8-$12

Cole Beasley, WR, Buffalo Bills (68%)

I know his roster percentage is higher than most I mention in this article, but Cole Beasley is still available in almost 1/3 of leagues.

Beasley is having the best season of his career and has tremendous upside in this Bills offense with Josh Allen at the helm.

Cole Beasley has double-digit targets in three of his last four games and two of those have resulted in 100+ receiving yards and a touchdown.

Volume is very important for a player to provide a safe floor. Beasley can put up dud weeks, but considering how well this Bills offense is playing right now, you’re going to want his target volume for the playoffs.

Cole Beasley FAAB bid range: $8-$12

Tim Patrick, WR, Denver Broncos (28% rostered)

Remember him? I’ve mentioned Tim Patrick in multiple articles this season, yet his roster percentage is still below 30%.

Tim Patrick has double-digit fantasy points in five of his last six games. He has three touchdowns in his last two games and is the Broncos’ top fantasy wide receiver this season.

With wideout Jerry Jeudy playing through injury, Drew Lock is going to have to lean on Patrick in the coming games.

I’m not suggesting Tim Patrick is an All-Star and a must-add, but if you are hurting at wide receiver, Patrick does provide you with some upside as your WR3 or flex.

Tim Patrick FAAB bid range: $6-$10

Dan Arnold, TE, Arizona Cardinals (1%)

Tight end is becoming a nuisance in fantasy football. Unless you drafted Travis Kelce, you probably don’t have the same tight end you began the season with.

Well, Dan Arnold has recently been targeted by Kyler Murray around the end zone. Arnold has four touchdowns in his last four games.

Unfortunately, he is touchdown-dependent, but considering his Week 15 matchup, you should take a chance on his small hot streak.

The Eagles have given up the 9th-most fantasy points to the tight end position this season. Kyler Murray will look to take advantage of that weakness which should lead to Dan Arnold finding the end zone for the third week in a row.

Dan Arnold FAAB bid range: $4-$8

Week 15 Waiver Wire: Pickups for Deep Leagues ($1-$6 FAAB)

Mitchell Trubisky, QB, Chicago Bears (11%)

Trubisky has re-emerged in this offense and given some life to the Bears. He is the QB10 since returning as the starter in Week 12. Trubisky is making all the viable weapons significant for fantasy.

Week 15 Waiver Wire and Week 15 Fantasy Pickups: Mitchell Trubisky has come alive again for the Bears offense and could be your answer if you're streaming at quarterback.

Since being re-named the starter, Mitchell Trubisky has 240 or more passing yards in each of the last three games. He’s also thrown seven touchdowns in that span.

He has a decent matchup in Week 15 against the Vikings but his Week 16 matchup against the Jaguars defense, who have given up the 3rd-most fantasy points to quarterbacks, is why you should pick him up now.

Cole Kmet, TE, Chicago Bears (6%)

Cole Kmet has found some life with Trubisky at quarterback. He now has seven targets in each of his last two games and had a total of nine receptions in that span.

As you already know, the tight end landscape is awful. Kmet at least provides you with some hope given his recent target volume with Trubisky.
